fJCW Replacement Rotors

Hey all,

I've been looking at getting new rotors/pads for the car. I'm curious about the replacement front rotors available for the fJCW. All I've come across are OEM, NM, ECS and WMW. Am I missing any of the other options or are these the only 4?

I can find stop tech for the rear but nothing for the front.

Any experiences with these rotors?

I was planning on putting either EBC Reds/yellows on the car as I had yellows on the previous mini and enjoyed them.

I would go with EBC Reds or Hawk HPS / ECS Geomets. For DD and then a couple track days. For rotors other then ECS cross drilled or Cross drilled / slotted or Genuine MINI solid or cross drilled / slotted , there is Zimmerman. Not too many options on the front JCW rotors but we do have some.

Good luck in whatever you choose. BTW love the R58 JCW . I have one also

I'm looking for something that's a bit more local. Ordering of ECS tuning living in Canada is horrible because of the shipping costs and customs. Plus, rotors aren't the lightest of items.

Has anyone had experience with EBC yellowstuff pads on OEM rotors?

Sorry to hear that, I did not know you were in Canada. Did you try the "Cana-Ease Saver" , helps with putting everything up front.

Thanks and always here to help.

Its an option on the shipping after you ad to cart and continue. Put the Canada shipping , Canada fee and duties all in ones. Under the UPS icon , then see the Can-Ease option.

"Offered Exclusively by ECS Tuning - We provide our Canadian customers a single cost for order delivery with an average delivery time ranging from 2 - 6 business days. Cana-Ease shipments are picked up twice a week at our location by UPS. Shipping quotes are based on orders that are not delayed in customs due to import processing delays. There are NO additional import duty fees, taxes or hidden brokerage fees with this method. The displayed price is a "To Your Door" price that includes all fees."

Thanks

You can use the same combo for but in a zimmerman / akebono set up for DD less cost kits, and will dust much less then stock OEM pads. If you need the extra performance go to an EBC green or HPS. For JCW EBC Reds or Hawk HPS great for middle of the road DD and performance / track days. We are talking about fJCW here, so just make sure you select your model for options.

If you go with Hawk HPS pads stay with HPS and not HPS Plus. They squeal and are a little bit too aggressive for the street.

Different size on the rotors for the JCW front and rear vs the "S" unless you go to the JCW Brake Retrofit Kit. If you have the S rotors use the same size as the S. Thanks

I think I'm going to go the route of EBC pads and rotors.

Rotors:

Front
GD1790
Rear
GD1791

Pads:

Fronts
DP41854R
Rears
DP41931R

Anyone with experience with the EBC rotors? They are dimpled, not cross drilled.

We have some EBC rotors on our site, and all the pads. Just dump the part number into our site search, if your an EBC fan.
