Pain in the butt to get enough in such a small hole without running.

GOOD LORD !!! Brought the piston to top dead. Installed the head gasket. Measured how far the piston was in the hole with the gasket. It's .080 in the hole. It's good but I'm just not used to seeing it with that much space. I've always tried to send the compression thru the roof. Complete opposite in this case. Which is good. Even better thing is that they are all the same. So when the block was originally assembled they square decked the block very well from the factory.

YES !! Head is assembled. Picking it up on the way to work. Check piston clearance. Clean all the parts and assemble this project.

Should I do something to the outside of the car so only people on NAM recognize the car when I'm out cruising ? Such as a personalized tag, Sprintcars on the top of the back window Or should I stick with the bone factory stock look so it's incognito.

You think the bone factory stock look is a bully?

All joking aside, I prefer the sleeper look.

It's the surprised look on people's face when a bone stock appearing jumps up and takes off. Hehehe.

This surprised look on peoples face is part of what it's all about. Stay with the "sleeper" effect at least as "sleeper" looking as a MINI can get ---

Hey Sprint,
I know you were looking at making some modifications to your HPFP, to the swash plate if I remember correctly. I think you may have mentioned at the time that you were informed Manic didn't alter FRP on the N14. Just wanted to let you know that is not the case. The FRP on the Continental pumps is adjusted on both N18 and N14 engines. I'll shoot you a PM.

omg God scubby, I went to the car wash. Clean all the parts. Came home, blew them off. Got the new mains. I needed 3 black bearings for the bottom and 2 green. Bottom has no holes and a groove. Then I need 5 greens for the top. I GOT, 3 blacks for the bottom and 7 green for the top. UGH !

Meanwhile, your wife is thinking, "please Lord let him get that engine out of the foyer."

I like the clean aluminum look myself. Now if the whole engine bay was blacked out that would be cool.

LMFAO !! Your right Cerenkov. lol. It's nice that it was her idea cause she wants the car running as well. When I started it was freezing cold out.

Oil pan is on, valve cover tightened down and flywheel torqued up. I think I'm ready to start setting it in the hole.
