Ordered the following items were ordered today:
Oil pump gears and chain
N18 exhaust manifold
1 exhaust valve
Exhaust manifold nuts
1.20mm thick head gasket
NEW HPFP
NEW Vacuum pump
2 main bolt caps
FYI if your AR DP is like mine, it is a very tight fit against the exhaust manifold. Had some issues getting back bolt to fit. Had to start it first before others.

Soooooo.....this means you've got everything and its just a matter of putting all back together?

This is correct. However, two machine shops I was using decided to drag there feet for more than several months. Needless to say they lost my business. Bottom end bore and home will be done next wednsday and the valve job will be complete as well. My pilot didn't come in time so I'm letting my boss do it in his shop and he's using some goofy angles for the seats.
But, none the less, it's jumped leaps and bounds this week.
Scubby, I was using a machine shop that had my block, crank and rods since August. He took to long and gave me every excuse in the
Book why it wasn't done. So I took my parts from him and sent them to another shop. I ordered a valve guide pilot just for the Mini Cooper head so I can do valve jobs here at home. It didn't come yet so I gave it to my old boss so it'd be done quicker.
Cool thread Sprint. I'll be watching closely as I'm about to do the same to my N14 FJCW and need a little inspiration
I'm gonna make a different thread where everything is condensed with just part numbers, parts, place I got them from, torque specs when assembled. Then the horsepower numbers. Try to make it easier for someone who wants to build one. Try to take all the research out of it for them. Only part that's not off the shelf purchased will be the ported and ceramic coated head.
Great thread thanks for posting all this information. I saw you are switching to studs for the cylinder head, where do you get your torque specs or do you still use torque angle? Thanks.
Cross that bridge when I get to it. Haven't researched it yet. But if I had to take a ta done guess, same torque method so it doesn't distort the block.
Upgraded exhaust manifold. Check
1.20mm head gasket. Check.
New nuts for manifold and turbo. Check
Waiting on the block and head now. Then assembly will be done.

I found out some good info for you guys who are searching for similar parts or considering building something like I am. First, I get parts from the local mini dealer at the same price the sell to shops for. So, I called the local mini dealer. Got a price for an N18 exhaust manifold and ordered it. It was $394.00. When it came in it looked like my existing factory S Manifold. I questioned it. Another guy came out who knows about this build and said hold on, I think you mean you want this one. It ended up being a jcw manifold. It was $413.00. Way motor works sells the one we needed for upgrades for $409.00 shipping not included. Since it was in front of me and didn't have to pay shipping, I made the purchase. For guys or gals who don't have the option of getting parts at the price I do, I think way motor works would be your best option. And remember. It's the JCW manifold the you would want not just the S or N18. It's the JCW version that is needed.
Can you tell me the difference between the 2 exhaust manifolds please.
I may have trade my JCW for another non JCW manifold. I had no idea they were different.
Design, standard on the older models had hot spots and cracked. The jcw has a smoother finish than the standard S when it comes out of the casting. It's on way motor works website. That's why I posted it. You're manic tuner right ?

There's also choke points where two runners come together on the standard S compared to the jcw. Why would you trade any jcw part for an s part ? Those cars are quicker from the factory for a reason. There's actually an upgrade kit from mini the convert the S.
What does loading Manics tune have to do with exhaust manifolds; at least knowing the JCW manifold is different from the S? Try having some class. In reading about the WMW manifold, it looks like his is a totally different design. I'm not convinced the JCW manifold is any different than the S.
BTW to answer a question, I received a port matched manifold that was also modified to fit a bigger turbo. The supplier never mentioned a design difference between the 2.
