For some reason, I'm thinking the open were the downpipe connects is much bigger. But I don't have the original one in front of me too compare them.

Yea, it's gonna a bigger downpipe for sure.
So there ya go folks. I'm willing, and have the time to save the money to add the bigger downpipe. Everything you do has a trickle down theory. Ya get this. Ya need that. Then that needs this. It all basically adds up to, how much you willing to spend and how far you wanna go. If you don't have, forged pistons, aftermarket rods. Why bother with the big stuff like I did. The ko3/ko4 hybrid or jcw turbo will get you were you need to be.

If the inside diameter matches the inside diameter of the downpipe gasket gasket then it is bigger at 2.7" instead of the normal 2.5". I know the DP Mario sells is already ported to match a 2.7 diameter turbine exit. I believe ATP also sells a 3" DP to match a 3" exhaust if your still thinking about going that way. Not having seen one though I don't know if the top is 2.5" or 2.7".

Can't wait now to find out how it performs, especially with your build Sprintcars!
If I didn't get a bonus this year I wouldn't have gotten it. The rest that makes the rest of the build I can piece together relatively easy.

Why don't you boys just grow up and act like civilized men instead of immature boys.

When it shows up please post a couple of pics. I'd love to see the build quality. As far as I know it's the only 3" currently made for mating to a Borg Warner turbine housing on the Cooper.

Ok tigger. No problem. That was the reason I went that way. It was already used for the Owens turbo and the guys at eurotek highly recommended it. So certain things you don't second guess when someone has experience with them. Thumbs up jerry

Do you think you would ever do a motor for another NAM member after gaining all this experience from doing yours? I just had fitted the ATP 3" DP from JMTC this week.
It took a lot of fabricating incl cutting the pipe in 1/2 down low so the 90 elbow would match up with the rest of the exhaust.

I don't know if I'd do it again. To be honest, this thing has gotten very expensive. I'll prolly have an easy 6-7 grand in it by time I'm done. I'll be more than happy to tell people what to do tho. It's kinda like a trickle down theory once you get to a certain point. You do this you might as well do that to get full affect of this. Then the head, if port the head you might as well put cams to make it work. It just goes on and on. Then since you ported the head and added cams you sent the rpm range thru the roof. Now your gonna need rods and pistons. Now rebalance. Since r's are thru the roof, might as do 2% over balance on the bottom end since you could realistically be seeing 8,000 rpm. Honestly, that's what I'm up against. And to be a street car, cruise speeds prolly gonna be around the point where's your prolly gonna lose your license on the spot. But I'm already there now. Can't go back.

Agreed and understood. I did automotive machining years ago. Its a slippery slope for sure but if you've been down that road before one knows what they r getting into.
Perhaps a list of vendors/contacts and what specifically was used? I need to do a N14 motor for my mostly track car. I want to port but have zero experience with these heads. If u were closer I would do your Manic tune for you. Too bad.

I'll list it all once I get ever part in my hand. Prices as well. Prolly make a new thread so the info is condensed for easier reading. I know exactly where the thin spots are. I did 3 heads. One to find thin spots. One to play. Then 3rd times the charm.
