R56 2011 Ordering
JPMM: Countryman info and pricing for USA in Oct. For delivery in Jan.
Wahoo_shoe: The adaptives require the auto headlight function to work. If not on auto mode, they will not move. That what i have read about the technology on other car brands and the adaptive xenons.

I think the adaptives could work just fine, since they just need to be on to be adaptive. It's just a control system that judges the current conditions and adjusts the angle/direction and intensity of the lights. Who cares if the system is turned on via user or another electronic part? They just need to be on. I guess this is BMW trying to remove any remaining drop of idiot in its drivers...oh and money in their wallets
I wouldn't be against auto-lights (other than apparently they'll turn on your high beams for you, which explains lots of BMWs always blinding me on a few twisty roads around me), it's the auto-wipers I don't agree with. There's lots of instances I like to chose a wiper setting slower than the average human being would choose. I used RainX on my windshields so I'm not having to constantly beat my wipers to death (I saw what happens when you do that continuously during a rainstorm on 95 and your wiper bolt is a little loose..BAD!). I think wipers are semi annoying and want them to do what I think is comfortable to me based on my driving conditions at the time.
Sucks, adaptives are kinda neat, but I just don't have that many conditions that warrant them. I'll probably drive too fast anyways

Countryman: Pricing doesn't come until mid October. Ordering in December and delivery not until February or there abouts. Right now Mini is too busy trying to keep up with the European deliveries to worry about us, little people in the USA. Also, ever wonder just why they chose to have the Countryman, with it's all wheel drive become available at the end of the USA Winter? May sound a little bitter, but it sure sounds like we are an important market.
Changed my order
Well, on account of Mini and their wonderful ways of extracting more and more from the bank account (loan) I've dropped the Rooster Red and black seats, also took off the exterior mirror automatic dimming. I figure that while I've never had that feature before, I can live without it. Same for the Auto lights and windshield wipers.
So here we have the final build:
BRG ll with Chili Red roof and mirrors
Chili Red dash and door trim
JC specific cloth checkered with red piping seats
Black Challenge Wheels
All the above are no charge options. except for the BRG ll paint
Cold Package (still not happy with the price increase here)
Harmon & Kardon sound system (a must)
Xenon Headltes (I thought long and hard on this one as that's $600. that
Adaptive option I could have saved. But I think that it'll be a neat option)
Rear Fogs (again, a must. I can use them to get someone off my rear)
Auto dimming inside rear mirror (have to have this option to get the garage
Universal Garage door opener door opener
That's it. It's under my goal of $33k with BRG ll color. Could have gone with a non metallic paint, but that BRG ll grows on you. Originally, I wanted a Chili Red, but there's nothing interesting for the top, to go with it. Maybe go to the paint shop and have BRG painted on the roof. No, I don't think so. The other color was the White/Silver, but opted out for the BRG ll again.
That's the deal. The dealer placed the order in to hold a spot two weeks ago, with the mid September build. That way I can receive it in the normal 6 - 8 weeks and have it around November 1st, so they say. I'm also going to have the invisible bra applied at the dealership. They threw that in after I raised a fuss about the straight invoice. I threatened to cancel my order and wait till Spring. They wanted the business. Guess that I finally get my JCW after waiting.

My *** gave me the $750 price on the Cold Package twice. They added the headlight retractable washers into the Cold Weather Package. I haven't found any 2011 configuration, other than the British and German sites. No USA site yet.
I'm not seeing it....

Says $27850, i.e. 2010 price for me for the S convertible.
They have not posted the new 2011 configuration yet, on MINIUSA. That will come out soon, as my dealer says. Still, from three dealers now, the Cold Weather Package, unfortunately is $750, not $500 as it was last year.
MINI USA has just announced a special voucher for those of you who registered for MTTS and would like to purchase a MINI (whether you already own a MINI or not). You guys are entitled to an extra $1500 off any in stock MINI COOPER (in addition to the current incentives and low rate finance/lease) and to put the cherry on top…..(drum roll)…..they will even waive the first payment !!! Wow!! Call your Motoring Advisor for more details.
(im thinking that is for remaining 2010s?)
Here are the 2011 MINI Press Release released yesterday.

Uh.. no. They may drive on the wrong side of the road, but they have always measured distance in miles and speed in mph.
Britain's conversion to metric has been slow (kgs etc in schools in '65 and currency 1971), you can still buy a pint of beer and and it looks like they're not going to replace all the signs in their road network and speedos in their cars anytime soon, if ever. EU has given up on that.

Nice pic of a laser blue/white Mini 2011, chakram105. I want that colour combination!

Woops. Sorry. Brain cramp. I saw a price sheet for 2011 MCS convert and the base price was $27850 which presumably doesn't include the $700 destination fee. Then I went to miniusa and saw $27850 again and I jumped to the wrong conclusion.

Hi, I'm new :P.
Anyway, I'll *hopefully* be ordering a 2011 Cooper S next summer. Since I always like to be prepared, I'm waiting for the configurator to be updated so I can spend a lot of time figuring out what combination I'll want to order.
Considering how MINI Connected is only $1000 and comes with Comfort Bluetooth and Smartphone prep, I'll totally be getting that. :D
