666: I have really been surprised with my Lil Guy, I expected alot from him, but he has just surpassed all my expectations. All the talk about how bad the suspension is suppose to be, the steering was suppose to have no feel, the power issue was suppose to be disappointing, there were suppose to be rattles in the hatch, the doors, the dash, all these things have NOT come to pass. Is it perfect? Heck no, name a car under $250k that is perfect, although some close, and it also depends on what one is looking for in perfection.

My Lil Guy, to me is very close, but I am going to change the outside door handles, hopefully and the rear hatch handle to carbon fibre units, which I have. I'm going to try and bribe the new, local Mini dealer and see if they will install them. I've heard that they are not easily installed. Broken glass issue, they say.

Does anyone know if the JCW-body kit is available for the facelift? Rear fog lights seem different...

Was on the telephone with my dealer, he told me there was an adapter available, that would make the JCW Body Kit fit on a 2011 facelift...
I live in Belgium, so I don't know about USA...

What I saw, and it was on a British site, was the same JCW Aero kit that they came out with in mid year, last year. The only change was in the back up light being in the middle of the drivers side rear fog light. When they made the changes last year, put in the brake cooling ducts, and a couple of minor changes, that was their 2011 change. As for more changes being introduced this year, I really, doubt that much will be done. An off site building makes these for Mini, and Mini doesn't have much control over them. I've been told, that is one reason why the JCW Aero package hasn't been offered, factory installed, for the USA. This company can't, couldn't make enough of them, plus keep the quality up to standards.

Most of this is fact, and some is my opinion. I, along with many others, wish that a nice, individual Aero kit could have been offered for me with my JCW, but not to be. Still think that the lower door panel would look nice with the 2011 refreshed front and rear.

I think this is the old body kit on the 2011 facelift, because if you look closely, you can see the rear fog lights are smaller than the regular ones on the facelift :-)

That's right, on the JCW Aero they are still using the old style rear fog lights. There's no way that they could get the new rear fog lights into that narrow of an area, hence they are using the last years rear fog lights. And, if you look closely, the back up light is in the middle of the drivers side light.

I've seen one other JCW for 2011 that had the JCW Aero and it was at a dealership, and I can't remember where that was, but that car had the small back up lights in both of the rear fog lights. Oh well.

okay .. so from what i understood that there wont be a new aero kit n instead of making new one they offer an add on kit to replace the fog light to reverse light .. if that is the case i wont go for the aero kit .. i dont want to lose the facelift

Rear Fogs

NO, it has rear fogs, it's just that they are 2007 - 2010 style rear fog lights. And boy, on this car, about the only thing that I think that they missed was Black Lounge leather seats. Even without them, I'll bet the MSRP is close to $40K, ok maybe $38K and they missed on the JCW suspension.

The rear Fog Lights are the red light, that surrounds the back up light. Weird, but it does work, they tell me. They do the same thing, only on one rear taillight, on the clubmans. Just like on my JCW and yours, the back up light is in the middle of the rear Fog Light. Same for the JCW Aero, except that the rear Fog Light is smaller in shape.
