You sound like a proud PaPa as well you should be! Your car is AMAZING! I don't know if I would trust myself with all that extra power! The MCS blows my hair back as it is! It is going to be extra AMAZING with the color scheme you chose! Yea, I looked at the JCW for sure....In the end I know I will be happy with mine too! Cheers!

It's a Mini, whether one gets a Just a Cooper, a MiniS, or like I have the JCW, they are all great in their own rights. I've been a performance guy all my life, and I wanted something with minoga go, with great fuel economy. I think that I am getting, but still I hold my breath about things. But in saying that, I think that it's because most all of us Mini Guys will let others know when something isn't right, that's something alot different from the standard Chevrolet Cobalt fan. Mini owners are just in a bit higher class than many of those other guys/gals. My 2 bits worth.

Will try. We pick him up on Saturday about 3:00 or so. I expect the financing to take most of the rest of the afternoon. Then to Woodridge Mall so Olga can find something that likes her to wear. She's tired of ordering on line then it doesn't look right or doesn't fit. Then we'll take our time coming back home on Sunday. I'm going to try and take a bunch of pictures of me and Lil Guy, me and my Motor Advisor, then Olga and me, then Lil Guy by himself. We'll get some pictures that are suitable for framing. Right!!!

Look forward to those pics, hemi. My boss asked me today if o got the jcw and I said no, financial reasons etc etc and he just rolled his eyes at me. I do think the justa, the s and the jcw each have appeal so everyone wins.

My car arrived at the dealership yesterday. Looks like I'll be picking it up Sunday!

Yup, 19 more hours and Lil Guy and us meet. Then, dinner in Chi-town and travel home on Sunday, me at the wheel of Lil Guy the Mini John Cooper Works Midnight Black with a Chili Red room. Hey, gotta be a good day.

Keep us posted when you can! Especially if there's any funny business with that factory discount!

Beings as my Motoring Advisor re-affirmed that the $1000 and 3.9% interest rate was, is an October delivery incentive, I don't expect any problems. I'm just a bit concerned when we get to the payment issue. I intend on making double payments, but still I'd like the actual payment as low as possible, always, just in case of problems in the future.

I'll tell you what I'm most dreading: dealer trying to renege on trade-in offer. You see posts like 'It's Over' and i can see that happening when I go in. What's to stop them... Cross fingers.

Off to Patricks Mini is Schaumburg. We plan on staying in that area tonight, pick up a nice Chicagoland dinner, and return back to Des Moines tomorrow, taking our time. We are renting a car, rather than taking Olga's Jeep. Terrible gas mileage, actually make out better with a rental. Anyway, off we go to finally meet Lil Guy.

I had heard that, too, so when I was selling I took my car to several dealers and used car lots, including Carmax (not wanting to deal with the hassle of a private sale), and Carmax offered me by far, the lowest amount. I don't know if they ran out of cash, if it was because it was the beginning of the month, but they were clearly not interested in buying my car. I actually sold it back to the dealer that sold it to me originally because they started highest and negotiated highest. They'll CPO it and make $1-2K, but it was worth it for me. And yes, that was the most stressful part of buying my new MINI!

Ill call a few dealers about sellback today. Carmax is too far. Our problem is simple economics: opportunity cost. We've got a toddler, lots going on and ground to cover. So the trade in is at least efficient.

MA called this morning confirming the car is ready. Heading over in the morning!

I also have a 2011 MCS coming (she is on the Don Juan, headed to US). We already sold my old car and am just holding the $$ until we take delivery the first week of December. Goal is to have the financing done BEFORE we pick her up so I can just go in and get out. :-)

Nice sig Thirdrail I saw a PW/PW out the other day, loveloveloveit, and I'm not that big of a fan of PW. It really shows the color well. Hope you're enjoying it!

Hey Minigirl! I LOVE that name! Is your car going through Port Hueneme as well or are you at a closer drop off? Gosh, it is already November! I think I will be able to pick mine up on November 27th! I am excited. We still have to do the trade-in thing though. We couldn't make life work if we sold my car yet - just too many different directions - ya know?! Good job though! Keep me posted on you due dates! ciao bella!

THanks Sauron! I checked it out when I got home from school and sure enough! It is so exciting! I have heard there are webcams there, but I cannot seem to find them. In just three weeks I will be driving my mini! I am thinking of naming it Lexy or Zach - as in - best non-prescription anti-depressant out there! (PorZAC, and LEXapro!!!!!!)

Nice names Maris - no love for Zoloft? :D.
I don't know yet if ours will get a name. Maybe after we work out its personality.

Nice JCW

[quote=jcw666;3157241]Hi all here is my JCW ... i uploaded the pics in the 2011 jcw pictures thread .. n im sorry i forgot to put them in this thread sorry guys n sorry for the quality phone pics.

Looks nice, bet ONEFISH2 likes it too. Kidding Steve. Anyway, just a hint of advice, make sure that you have the engine running when you try and adjust your outside mirrors, it took me about 1/2 an hour to figure that one out. I kept folding the mirrors and getting more and more frustrated by the minute. The other problem I had was in getting the Universal Garage Door Opener programed. I, finally got it, but it took me awhile.

Have minoga fun with your blue guy, I can't find anything that I'd change with mine. Ride is great, handling is great, mileage is great and performance is great. They talk about the steering being weird or off, but I can't see, or feel that. Have fun.

From Lil Guy
