R56 2011 Ordering

I'm 6'2", slim and found the cloth+leather seats literally painful after 45 minutes of driving non-stop. Without lumbar support that figure was even lower. If I'd have to order a MINI, particularly for long-term ownership, my first option on the list would be the lounge leather seats. They are super-comfortable even on 6+ hour drives. Comparable if not better than my wife's Honda Odyssey leather seats, without the sliding in tight turns.
Option #2 would be the H/K sound as the base system is surprisingly poor.
Option #3 would be the automatic windshield wipers, as the manual ones have an intermittent setting which is too slow and then the first constant setting is too fast.
All the other options, I could live without.

Sounds like you have the right idea. No matter what I'm sure the Mini will keep you happy.

Thanks for all your help , lhigham. Do you know if option pricing is out too? The configurator is not up to 2011 spec as of 5 minutes ago
Does anyone out there have an option list and price sheet? If so, could you please post it? (It's hardly confidential I'm sure!)
As you can see, impatience continues, and I'm sure it will continue till the mini arrives home!

Sounds like every package pricing is the same, except CW. The only new changes:
+$750 on MSRP
CW is now $750 and includes headlight washers if you have Xenons/HIDs
Auto-dim side mirrors are $250. This apparently will add in heated/folding side mirrors and the auto-dim rearview mirror. I don't know if they charge extra for all of that or it's included in the $250.
$100 for adaptive Xenons

What happens to Mini Garage cars?
Question: what happens to the cars in your garage when the new configurator shows up? Are they deleted, or updated to the '11 specs/prices?
No big deal as I have it just about memorized at this point and I have a PDF somewhere...[/QUOTE]
The still stay in our garage, but with the updated prices.
Just received a call from my sales guy. This confirms what was available on the Online Ordering Guide from July.
Cold Package contents add the retractable headlight washers. $750.
Blackened headlights available on Xenons, without Adaptives. N/C
Adaptives option to the Xenons. $100.
Outside Auto Dimming Mirrors. $250.
Premium package only includes:
Dual pane panoramic sunroof
Automatic Climate Control
Harmon-Kardon Sound system $1750
And that's on top of the either $700. increase on the Mini S, or the
JCW increase of $300.
Guess they figured that if they wanted to sell any more JCW's that they better not make the increase too much.
I'm with the poster on Motoringfile that went into detail on the strength, (never thoght that I'd say that) of the dollar with the British Pound and the Euro. The dollar has gained significantly in the last year. I guess that means that those currencies have just done worse than our dollar.
That's all that I could get out of my *** until the Configuration that is due out, according to him, in late August. His words, or MiniUSA's words.

It's optional.....Really
What they fail to mention: if you want auto-dim side mirrors, you have to add auto-dim rearview ($250) AND powerfold side mirrors ($500).
So...suddenly your cool side view mirrors turn into a $1000 expense, unless you have ColdWeather, then it's only $500 on top. Ouch

When will it end???
Still looking for my Mini Nirvana.

Yup. Seems like they try to rope you into having to get certain options. I never really wanted the auto-dim RV mirror, but it looks like I'm going to have to get it. I really like the auto-dim sides because it's not like I can reach out and dim them, but my rear mirror is right freaking there. Ugh.
PS- the premium package, at least for 2011, is sound+sunroof+auto A/C. Stripes are in the sports package, and chrome rings are interior chrome line option. Sigh..

It seems..according to the order guide:
The adaptive option will require the xenons, which we know, but also add the rain sensor and auto headlights, white turn signals and adaptive light control. Not sure if they are added cost on top or are included in the 600 price (xenons-500+100 for adaptive).
Has anyone confirmed that Mission control is included with MINI Connected?

Thanks for the info though, I was considering getting the adaptives, but again, suddenly a $100 option is $350 for me (i'm getting SportP) and ~$1000 for anyone who isn't. I definitely do not want rain sensor since I'm used to turning on/off my lights and sometimes at highway speeds I don't want my wipers full blast since I use RainX. Since the rain sensor is a must if you get adaptives, there's no way.
What happened to MINI-ification?! I better get on ordering my 2011, if I find out anymore of this info, I might just say "MINI you're nickeling and diming me so much, forget it"
