Notice anything "odd" in the picture of the EMPTY dock below???? Yes, that is a snapshot from the live webcam in Southampton, UK at 6:35pm (EST). Yes you are correct, the Undine is GONE!!!! I know, yes, it was their just 1 hour ealier when I checked!! But now it is gone!!

Yes, Minibird is on the Undine, and yes, it has left the dock! But then again, who's counting????

I'm getting kind of tired of sitting on the dock. Someone mentioned on the MB thread that there were some sort of maintenance delays going on in the Panama Canal. That may be why there was no ship outbound on the 18th. Here's hoping that the Manon is on schedule and that we're all aboard!

 

A ship that left Southampton on June 18th and took the normal 11 or 12 days to get to the Panama Canal would have arrived there about June 29th or 30th. The canal outages are shown as being from June 13-22 and July 11-20. A ship leaving on the 18th would be about midway between those maintenance periods so maybe there was some other reason that ship was taken out of the schedule.

For those onboard the Undine, she has turned on her weather tracking apperatus. She is 10% across already! 8 days and counting.

ladyaquila and maxshrike... have you heard from your MA's about the MANON or boarding any of the west coast ships?

 

Nothing yet here, and I still don't show up in the Manon's cargo list either. But the good news is that she did leave the Swedish port today, so at least the Manon is on schedule. I've been at the docks for a good week and a half. I'm counting on making that ship!

 

OL updated last night or today... Shows "Awaiting Tranport"... Which is about right... Started production 6/12, estimated completion was 6/19, OL seems to take at least 2 days to update after a change.

I checked WW also, VIN doesn't show up yet...but a 5 or 6 day wait for a ship doesn't seem unusual. First Max sat about 8 days at the port before being loaded on Titus...

 

LadyAquila... have you called your MA? Seems like a long wait at the docks.

There's probably an explanation... missed the Madame Butterfly because your production completed too close to her leaving, and WW seems to have scratched the boat for 6/18 week... Leaving Manon on 6/25.

My guess is we'll all be on Manon. I'd suspect WW will start to show the booking a few days before 6/25. But maybe a call to the actual person at Askmini or your MA is in order?

 

I talked to ASKMINI this morning. All they could do was verify that it was still on the docks. I haven't bothered my MA yet. I know that I just missed the MB, so I think you are right. The unusually long wait is just a matter of timing between that and the scratched 6/18 departure. I'm pretty confident that I'll be on the Manon...still it would be reassuring to see my VIN booked!

OK, my VIN shows up on WW! Manon as expected. LadyAquila, Howdyem- I'm sure you'll be on too...there are 555 mini's in this booking...

Probably a lot more than usual because of the scratched shipment for last week's (6/18) Mini's.

Well, I just checked and I'm on the Manon. :0)

 

The OL has said my mini has been awaiting transportation for several days, and ASK MINI is saying that my mini is on the dock, but WW doesn't have anything for my VIN. I'm looking for a boat to the East Coast, so I really hope I didn't miss the Patriot...

ladyaquila... we're just waiting to hear your good news too!!!

i even printed out my cargo status... i'm way too excited!!! and i agree... i (along with the rest of my friends) can't believe how excited i am over a car... but then again... it's not just a car!!! i think i may have already convinced some of my friends to get a mini even before i've already gotten mine.

now i really have to think about a name soon!!! it's a happy FRIDAY for sure!!!
