R56 R56 Week 24 Production
mf,
When the boats say NY, they mean Newark. There really is no port in NY.
If your car is going to be finished on the 18th, you really are week 25 I think. Your car will be built mostly in week 24, but I somebody said the week # is the week it finishes on. But the week isn't important though, the finish date is!!
You could end up on the Undine which leaves Southampton on the 19th, arrives in NY on the 28th. Or the Patriot which leaves 22nd and arrives on July 1st. That would be if you end up on the W&W line. There are other shipper lines also, those I don't know.

WIll they keep your deposit if you reorder or roll it over to the new car? Or will you end up losing the original deposit?
ETA: That is an amazing order to build time! 8 days from order to completion! Amazing!

I was looking at pictures here on NAM --- I had never looked that closely at the Aero Kit before
I can't believe I did this --- I will have to wait 3 more weeks at least unless I get very lucky
Better to cahnge now than be dissapointed later

Hey Pav, I think they run on at least Saturday. (don't know at all about Sunday) My first mini order started production on 4/25... and was out on 4/30... So either they made it in 4 days or work on Saturday. I'm guessing they work at least Saturday...
I've heard NYK lines ship to the Western US, but could not find any shipping schedule from Southampton to Hueneme. This leads me to believe that we'll both be waiting for WW's Manon on 6/25...
Do you have a booking number for that ship? My vin isn't showing up on WW site, but I'd like to think I'll have a spot on something leaving this weekend...
They did this to me on purpose! They knew that by putting a bogus date on my record it would mess with my mind, get me all paranoid.
Okay, okay, it is really funny. And I will laugh, I really will....AS SOON as I KNOW THE CAR IS ON THE BOAT and HEADING MY WAY!
I ordered the car in early April. But since the Audio Package wasn't available until June 7, I had to wait, and wait and wait and wait!
Yes, I have a booking number.

Popping in here because a friend is in your production week, so I'm keeping an eye open until he gets up to speed.
I'm a West Coaster and was in Production Week 27 - 2006. For the "Westies" MINI sometimes - frequently? - uses another shipping company: Hoegh Autoliners.
It has been almost a year since Jake was born (7/6/06) and delivered (8/23/06) but just like LadyAquila's MINI, Jake sat on the dock for about 10 days (as I recall). The reason is the Hoegh ships don't run as often as WW.
Since we're on the West coast, they have to cross the Panama Canal. That's a whole different ball game but VERY COOL because there's a webcam at the two locks there. I watched the Auto Banner cross with Jake and many of his PW27SG friends!
Here are some links:
Hoegh Autoliners
Panama Canal Daily Traffic
San Diego Marine Information System
Tracking with Hoegh is VERY different than WW. The ship Jake was on DID NOT broadcast information to AIS. That's why I included the San Diego link. It's the last stop before Port Hueneme.
Plus, my ship got delayed at the Panama.
They go through in order/by a strict schedule 'cause it costs big $$$ to go through. If you click on the link for the Daily Schedule, you'll see there's apparently a BIG backlog right now.
Scroll down and you'll see when a ship arrived and when it's scheduled to go through the docks. What I don't recall is how I found out what ship Jake was on. I'll need this info for my friend so I'll check it out and post later.
Hang in there!
EDIT: Just researched my "history" in my Production Group thread. Only your MA can provide the ship name, voyage number and Bill of Lading. The most useful was the ship name (you can then use it on the Hoegh site).
A couple of corrections - the Bill of Lading number will likely begin with "NYK" if you are in this situation. NYK is the shipper (vs WW) but Hoegh is the company (or whatever) that tracks the shipping, etc. Did I say this was more complicated than WW?
Also, I did use AIS Live at the Panama Canal. There was no information before or after the Auto Banner left the "tracked" area.

Yea baby!! My car is done today. Hopefully it makes a fast high speed train out of Oxford and gets to Southampton before the Freedom leaves tomorrow!!
My vin# still isn't showing on the WW site yet. Common little mini "Birdman", get on the ship already!!!

Congrats on completion! Hope you make it to the Freedom.
Actually, I think you may be referring to the Voyage number for the Freedom. I believe each VIN has a unique booking number on the particular Voyage [number]. Either way, where do I enter the Voyage/Booking number to retrieve the list of VINs to which you referr?

I looked into some of the other lines that people had thrown out there too and couldn't find any with the right ports listed. I wonder if they might leave/enter out of different ports and then "hoof it" by rail?

Phil,
Just click on tracking, then Auto cargo, then the "Booking Number" link. If you have the booking #, and put it in that box, it lists all the vin# booked on that ship. See the week 23 thread, somebody posted the ships booking #, and when you put that one in, it shows 300+ Vin#'s....
Oh, the voyage # is useless as far as I can see.....

Here is the text from the week 23 thread:
-----------------------------------------
Booking Number : GBSOU542808
Vessel: MADAME BUTTERFLY
Port of origin : SOUTHAMPTON
Voyage : ED723-MBU
Port of Destination : PORT HUENEME, CA

That booking number shows all vin #'s. c Don't know where they got it form though.
