R50/53 Do you wave at other MINIs??
I may not always wave but I always smile at other drivers. Some don't notice some do and usually smile back. I do on occassion wave and usually have them returned. I got a wave just yesterday.
My fav. though was in the first week I had the IMP some one winked at me with a flash of their blinkers and waved. That brought a huge smile to my face and made me glad to be in this club.

I wave at all the MINIs I see (just like my plate says), but my windows are dark, so I realize not everyone can see me wave.
Yesterday I got a headlight flash from a sailor or Marine in a lovely IB with white bonnet stripes. There is something extra cool about people in uniforms or suits & ties driving their MINIs to/from work. Clearly they aren't too "professional" to have fun!

wave darnit
I may get some slack for this
but having had both the coupe and the cabrio.
I noticed other cabrio drivers will go out of there way to wave at a fellow cabrio driver.
I wave at every MINI I see.
My partner has a Jeep Wrangler, those people a wave junkies, i think its a law that Wranglers have to wave at each other.

I saw two MINIs today and got waves from both. Woo Hoo!
My friend told me I was a goober, but I got her back (see thread "bad, baad girl."
)
Ever since I've had a convertible, yes, even waaay back when, I would wave to every other convertible driver and biker, cause there is a camraderie about loving your hair go all wild.

Almost every Porsche driver (and old British sports car drivers) waved when I drove my Intermeccanica-Porsche 356 replica.
Other Miata drivers...50/50 with my monster V8 Miata.
My 2006 MCS....after four months....nobody!

I swear, I am one of 3 Mini's in my wee small Mayberry-esque town and we almost run off the road when we spot eachother!
There's one Silver, one Turqoise (forgive me for not knowing the name of the color) and my Black Eye Purple.
We will have to form a Mini MINI Club

NO! I don't. That may be due to the fact I don't have my Mini yet. I will have it Sat Aug 19th. Once I get my Mini I shall wave with a fury not seen by mortal man in quite some time. Whilst obeying all traffic laws
Wave Hi!
The first day I drove my Mini home, I passed another and they waved...I about drove off the road not knowing how to act. Now, I wave at any and all Mini's on the road and they wave back. I even have some speed up to me just to say hi! Isn't is great???
I got to wave twice in one morning commute to work this week.
It's a joy. It's tougher on the freeway since the overtaker sees you and the overtaken usually doesn't notice.
I can't help it. It's one of the unexpected bonuses of owning a Mini.
I'll have to modify this for the MTTS or I'll never get to shift gears.

More and more MINIs are showing up on local roads every day it seems, and waving, which seemed to take a dip for awhile, is still very much alive. I think new owners know it is a "thing"....I assume that if they don't wave they either don't see me or are preoccupied. I choose to never assume they are being snobs which, as we all know, is simply not a MINI thing.

Do you wave? Do you wait until the other driver waves? Or do you just look at the car and not the driver?
I used to ride a motorcycle, and a simple wave was the usual thing to do. It's kinda neat to be driving a 4-wheeled vehicle and experience the same thing!

I'm still waving!
It helps to have distance and a good sight line.
I have my hand above the steering wheel most of the time.
I try to make eye contact.
Somewhere the idea of using the keys came up. I did that last weekend working at the antique auto show, I sold parking tickets. When I saw 2 MINIs come in, I showed them the key and they recognized it! Big laughs.
