A sincere thank you to littlecajun for looking this up for me. And the support of others who assured me Waldo would not be alone for long on the big trip, including Ryan.
Hope this is not taken the wrong way, but I am kind of glad Waldo is coming in a little later than expected. First reason is I will be out of town on business 3/30 to 4/3. Second, I don't know if I will get over the witdrawal symtoms from getting drummed out of this wonderful club on delivery! :???:

Awww, Red, just cuz you'll get your MINI doesn't mean we're gonna kick you out!
)
Everyone will always be a member of the famous April Club! I expect everyone to take snapshots (just like wagsFTB did) so we can all drool at each others Pride-n-Joy!
Cheers,
Ryan

>>Not only is there bird doo-doo to freakout about, but also all this salt-air our abused MINI's will be exposed too! What's a fanatical owner to do?
>>
>>I had my M.A. write down on the front of my folder not to detail the car, I have the knowledge and product to do a "real" job. First thing when the car get's home is to wash using Zymol Clear, dry using microfiber waffle weave. Up next is a full Clay-Bar rubdown, to get all that yukkie stuff off the paint! After that will be yet another round of bath (to remove excess clay residue), followed by a coat of Zymol Concours white caranuba blend. For a finishing touch, I like to do a final buff with Wizards Mist-n-Shine, a non-silicone glossifier. While that was just for the paint, there's a whole slew of crap to do in order to properly "prep" a new car (or rejuvinate an older one).
>>
>>I have no doubt it's gonna take me an entire sun-up-to-sun-down to get the car cleaned on day 1, yikes! I hope I'm overestimating, cuz the MINI doesn't have all that much to clean
>>
>>Cheers,
>>Ryan
Wow!
Clay a brand new car! I guess it's a good idea, just never thought of it. Bet just the bonnett and roof will need it though, However, I do believe they ship the car with plastic wrap on the hood and roof, but i may be wrong.

the more plastic they put on the car, the better! That just means less potential for contaminants to foul up a fresh paint-job! I even already bought the Zymol Screen-clean kit to protect the headlight and tailight lenses
Insane, who cares! Just Motor!
Cheers (maybe a bit too much this time!)

Ok, this little car-care subtopic is part of the new ownership experience, which is wholly integral to The April Club. There will be hell to pay if any of the Mod's dare move this thread
anyway Red, I have no idea whatsoever what this "invisible shield" you speaketh of is! Zymol's Screen Clean is an optical device cleaner and wax (for headlights and convertible plastic rear-windows), so on that note, it cannot be used on your dash, for Pete's Sake!
For proper Vinyl treatment, please employ Lexol's Vinylex, or Wizards Vinyl-Shine. They're both top-shelf stuff.
(back to our regularly scheduled thread)
Where is DaMatta, and what is his production status????
Scoobs, Rfath and I are still waitlisted for the Carmen, what's the deal (Katie, our lovely Cartographer; any ideas?)
Cheers,
Ryan

This waitlisting buisness is tricky stuff, but I wouldn't be too freaked out, remember Kelisa's famous story(Ryan you told me yourself you didn't think she'd make it on the jingu, but she did). Anyway, I guess today's the day you'll find out. Does anyone know how many vehicle's are not waitlisted, because I do believe the Jingu's final line-up totaled over 500 cars? Hope that sheds some light, I'll go check the tracking site though and see if there's anything I can figure out.
Doesn't look like anything is loaded yet. Lots of car's waitlisted. I would guess that waitlisting is probably real this time of year. A big push to get as many cars as possible here by spring. I still don't understand the 2 different dockings?? Maybe picking up cars at seperate docks????? How is the ship tracking going Katie?????
>>>It appears the Carmen has sailed from southampton enroute to southampton???"? anyone know whats up with this?? She is supposed to leave Southampton enroute to NewYork today

My car is at the VPC. According to OL, EDD 3-19-03. However, my experience lately w/delays....I seriously doubt it will make it to the dealer on 3-19-03. And, even if it did, it will take the dealer a day or 2 to get it ready since it will be arriving w/my other CO MINI buddies. At any rate, waiting isn't an issue. It makes the delivery much sweeeeter.

whew... back from my balitmore psyc conferency thingy.. winnie drove like a dream, no complaints.. average 30.1 mpg, and avg speed was quick.. i reset it when i refuelled and used it to test the accuracy of the speedo, which seems to read a few mphs more than what is actually the case.
went over 1000 on the way home today. lots of stares on the highway. strangly i passed ZEROS MCs or MCS' . I kinda went through withdrawel since I didn't go motoring all of friday or saturday, but frequented the parking garage to let winnie know i was still around, just busy.
anyway, i guess i should catch up on some posts, although i'll probably go to sleep instead.

Carmen has left the dock!!
Looks like Carmen is on her way, loaded down with all of our four wheeled friends. Fair winds and clear skies, she should be in the Big Apple in 7-8 days,
Wooo - Hooo !!!
