After I instaled the sequential shifter system in my car I had no room for my first setup with the Diamond audio subs and amp . I contacted Kevin at Raodster Sound and he really set me up with a nice deal. He had one of his Mini trunk mount boxes modified to work with my particular situation and it came out perfectly . Everything fit as needed and it made for a very easy install . The stock setup is really a nice deal and there is no way you could make one that worked as well on your own.

Here is what we ended up with . Rockford Fosgate 400 amp 4 channel and a 12" low profile Earthquake. Granted it isn't quite as good as my Diamond Audio system but it weighs and costs about 25% of the old setup.

Perfect Fit Enclosure

OK guys, first post but I have been frequenting these boards since we bought our 06 Cooper S brand new. After reading all these posts I felt compelled to make you guys aware of this product...

I have been a car audio installer since '85 and these guys provide a top notch solution. I know it fits well because they molded our Mini! I don't work for 'em or make a dime. These enclosures are too good to not know about.

Nice product but i little to rich for my blood. Seems a little over priced for a non-custom box. I just got a quote for a custom box similar to minians for $250.

Audio Integrations sub

Hey guys, in response to last post... make no mistake, what these guys build is arguably better than 90% of the "custom" enclosures out there (not to disparage any installs or installers and not taking into account personal choice in asthetics). My wife's mini was used to mold the enclosure and I've followed these guys as they developed their product line (they used to work as installers for me years ago). In the world of electronics and labor, you get what you pay for. I have personal knowledge in this as I ran a car audio install bay for 14 years doing over 1 mil in annual labor volume with a crew of 13. I have worked with top installers in the nation and know good work from poor. I have no monetary interest in this other than helping the local guys out with a personal recommendation. If you want an enclosure that is over built, comes with all hardware to mount with zero modification or having to rail screws into the floor then check it out. For the level of attention and finish I think it is well priced. I just thought I would let others know this as the Mini is a tough car to get great sound without giving up a ton!

thanks for letting me preach and hopefully no offense to anyone on the boards, just passionate about quality work! Thanks

No offense taken, but what i meant by custom is that the airspace for the inside of the enclosure is the right size for the amp you are running and the ohms/watts you are running to the sub. Maybe i should have said "tuned" instead of custom.

x2, i have been in high end car audio sales for years now and these guys make top notch stuff!

In regard to people saying they are getting "custom" enclosures for the same price (329.99) or less good luck! fiberglass takes a LOT of time and practice, and if not done right has the potential to crack or sound terrible... you also usually get what you pay for when it comes to custom audio work.

Thanks for the compliment.

The custom shop order the same fabric as the sparco seat from sparco. If i have my way, i wouldn't have the Sony system in there. The reason why it's there because the shop and sony partially sponsor it.

So I've been lurking on this thread for years now and finally finished...(mostly) my install. I haven't seen anything like this yet, so I thought I'd post a few pics. The box (including the curved top) was made from mdf, I know next to nothing about fiberglass. It's wrapped in a marine grade upholstery vinyl that is really freaking close to a "Leatherette" match. The grill is CNC's 3/16" Aluminum. It's about the most MINI-themed thing I've come up with. Let me know what you think!

I'm way too old for my setup! I can't help it. I'm 31 and I still like my music LOUD.

I won't be at AMVIV but I'm going to MOTD this year. I'm anxiously awaiting that one.

I wish I could go to the Dragon, but I have to go to Vegas so I geuss AMVIV it is.
I like my music loud at times myself. 31 isn't old it's just that you must choose what you do more maturely, but hey don't let society decide who or how you're going to live. Hell at 46 some say I'm too old to drive around in a lowered Mini. Huh!! Screw'um.

You don't stop playing, because you're getting old.
You get old, because you stopped playing.
