You need the combox and Bluetooth antenna, all communication and Bluetooth runs trough the combox no other way sorry. If you had Bluetooth phone before than you just need to move some cables from the back of the radio to the combox if you did not have Bluetooth before you will need to install a microphone also.

@ahorvath Could you submit a photo of your optical fiber connector in your car?

I have a doubt on how to put the optical fiber in my car.

What do you think of this emulator?

Thanks a lot!

Sorry I forgot to take a picture of the connector for the fiber and the car is completed I would have to take it apart again to take a picture and that is a lot of work. Can you take a picture of yours and I can tell you what is wrong? On the emulator they all look the same from the outside the way I decided which one to buy is reviews and amount of sales the one with the most positive reviews and sales is the one. Unfortunately from China everything is unknown.

I don't think there is any difference between 2011 and 2013. There is two models of the combox (Media and Telematics) you need the Media version. Look at the pictures that I posted. It could be from BMW or MINI it doesn't matter as long as it is a Combox Media. I have no idea if the new type will work I would stick with the old one.

I run the fiber cable under the steering wheeel down the side to the combox. The connector for programming don't matter where ever you feel it is easy to get too. My connection is where the USB/AUX plug is there a plastic cover that hides the screws it is sitting in there. I don't think there is a standard location from MINI.

Stock for comparison, before its cut to fit for any electronics. You will have you a really sharp knife and cut out the foam also. Watch your fingers.

It sounds like you have a problem with the emulator. Remember without the emulator none of the functions will work because it fail to authenticate the FSC codes. Check the connections.

I don't think so I did all my programming with WinKFP and everything is working. Some people say that don't do any programming with the emulator connected but I had no issues.

So I have done the coding by insta p with icom and most connection and now all works good .... Just don't have voice command but I think its just some coding in spec. Place to unlock... Am I wrong?
Its took 2hours for program and coding but its also synchronize vin.
