Navigation & Audio Bluetooth compatibility list
If the Incredible shows itself as a USB Mass Storage Device when it's connected to a USB connection, you should be able to play compatible music from it by connecting it to the USB port in the center console.
As for having full support through the armrest, that depends entirely on having a fully compatible armrest snap-in, which is only available for the iPhone that I know of.
Unfortunately with MINI's history, that may be quite the long wait... Unless RIM gets purchased by Apple, then there will probably be seven of them released in three months
Dang- thanks for letting us know, I've added it to the list.

I don't know of any specific reports on the HTC Incredible, but it runs Android 2.1, just like the Hero/Droid Eris/G2 Touch, and those phones have been reported to work multiple times (along with being listed on the official MINI USA website), so the Incredible is very likely to work with the Bluetooth connection.

Adapters and the "Comfort Bluetooth"..........
I am just voicing an opinion here but the promoting or the dealer-ordering of these "Comfort Bluetooth" armrest gizmos appear to be, well, inappropriate.
For one, it is now clear AFTER purchasing the car that only a handful of cell phone models will actually have the "infamous" adapter. If that is true, buyers paid several hundred dollars more for something they cannot ever use - unless they pay more money to prematurely switch their cell phone to the old RAZR or the new Apple phones.
Don't get me wrong... My wife loves her Mini. I just feel ripped off - especially since Mini does NOT state clearly that option will only work with XXX phones.

Also having a car with bluetooth in it is worth while anyway even if you initial phone does not work with it, more and more phones are starting to work with these systems.
You 're right about the apple thing... Just saw a snap-in adaptor for the 9000 Bold in a Bmw X6.. Let's pray..
VZW HTC Touch Pro2 no phone book sync
I have an '09 Clubman S that won't fully work fully with my HTC Touch Pro2. The TP2 has WM 6.5 on it with ROM version 3.04.605.3 from 11/17/09. I can make and receive calls, but the phone book is empty as are all the other logs (last call, missed calls, top 8, etc.) It does work fine with an 07 BMW 650. I have about 90 phone book entries. When first pairing it, I see that it tries to access the phone book, but it stops after a few seconds.
I wouldn't necessarily call it a setting, but clearly there's some sort of incompatibility. When I initially pair the HTC TP2, it set us the headset function quickly. Then it asks permission to access the phone book, which I grant. It starts to transfer data, but it quits after a several seconds with no entries. The phone book remains empty. As I mentioned, it works on an 07 BMW 650 and it also has worked on either an 09 or 10 BMW 328? service loaner.

The reason I ask is that a fair number of people have had it take as much as three hours for the first sync of contacts in the MINI.
My Blackberry synced with my 2003 BMW 525 in a mater of seconds but when it came to the MINI it took going on a long 2-1/2 hour drive to transfer all the contacts.
Yes it seems weird but this may just be what it takes. If you read thru all the posts in this thread you will see how many people have this time issue the first time. but then after the first time it only takes seconds to make updates if you have made changes to your contact list.
I was hoping that it was just an issue of taking a long time, but I don't think that's the case. Once the HTC TP2 pairs, I can see what services it sets up. It sets up the headset and that stays. Then usually, it asks permission to also set up phone book access. I grant that. I can then look at a status screen on the phone book access. Bytes sent and received start to track up, but at 15 seconds with 30 or so KB sent and 154 bytes received, it stops accessing the phone book and disconnects that service. Going back to the main BT screen shows that the only service still active is the headset. I have driven for close to 2 hours with it paired and it never synced.
My theory is around the MINI's being able to handle the @ symbol, as that's mentioned as a possible issue in the PDF for this Sprint network device on the MINIUSA.com/bluetooth webpage. My phone is on Verizon though. When I have time, I'm going to back up and then delete all my phone contacts and put in only a few very simple ones with no email addresses to see if it can sync those.
Thanks for your troubleshooting ideas.

I am sure you already know this but remember to back up your contact list so that you can restore it after on a small number.
BTW every contact in my phone, BB Curve, has an @ symbol in the e-mail address and I have no problems.
Just wondering if you have one contact that may have a special character in the name that is causing it to fail. That I could see happening.
Got TP2 address book to sync - wasn't obvious
It had nothing to do with how many contacts or any special characters. When I pair for the first time, the phone asks whether to accept phone book access attempts from the MINI. In the previous attempts, I would accept this as you might expect I should. To try something different, I told the phone to reject these attempts. It asked me 3 times in quick succession as it tried to attempt to access my phone book again. Each time I said reject. At the end of that, and after less than a minute, I had all my contacts in the MINI. So it's counter-intuitive and probably a bug somewhere, but I got around it and got it to work. Whew!
Sounds like you are correct. And a bummer at the same time.
The contacts transfer should not be looking at the e-mail address as the MINI should tell it what items it can handle. It is only supposed to look at name and telephone numbers. But anything is possible is guess.

Glad to hear yo got it working though.
It's been a long time since I posted here but I just traded my 2003 Mini Cooper...MINILLA for a 2010 Mini Cooper Clubman.....I believe I got a good deal with the car since it was discounted a good bit.....now it came with BLUETOOTH which I wasn't fussed about but since it's there I may as well use it. I have AT&T as my carrier and I currently have a RAZRV3...I can't get it to pair with the car but that's probably by own 'technologically challenged brain" ...but (1) does anyone have this phone? (2) I am eligible for a free upgrade and would appreciate any suggetsions from fellow AT&T users.
And then there's the whole usage thing...do I just switch the phone on and set it down somewhere in the car (Center armrest) ...can someone explain the principle of how it works in layman's terms.
I'm also having trouble with my MP3 player which is a Sansa Fuze.....does anyone use a Sansa? (as oppose to IPOD) It will connect ok using an AUX lead that I have but if I connect the one that came with the car which also has the USB port I get nothing?
I'm going back to the car handbook now but in the meantime any help from a real person would be great.
Philip

Glad to hear you got the bluetooth working.
As for using it when you get in the car it should now automatically just connect for you. In fact when you get out of the car it may stay connected after you shut the doors if you do not lock them. This is because the computer that runs it stays on until you lock the doors or shut the car off with the stop start button twice.
As for your other questions about the Sansz you woulod be best served asking this question in a new thread in Nav and AUDIO seciton.
