Check the card to make sure there is no AutoStart Software for some reason.

I know on some USB sticks such as the Sandisc Cruizers there is some OEM software that make them not work with the MINI. Once that software is removed they work great.
The 'USB for developers' didn't work, and I can't see any autostart software that is obvious. It sure seems like something like that is the problem. I can't imagine why my Nexus can't be seen as a mass storage device if there isn't some sort of software in the way.

Thanks for the suggestions so far. If anyone has anymore ideas, I'm willing to listen!

Not quite as good as if they'd get Connected working for Android, but beats using a wire.
Glad you said this. I'd heard the comment several times about A2DP not being supported throughout several threads, but was confused as to why I had 'Bluetooth Audio' settings that could be enabled from the Mini menus. Now, if I could only get it to work with my phone. It's weird because the Bluetooth audio icon on the screen is active, and my phone says it's playing Bluetooth audio, but nothing comes out of the speakers. Someone mentioned that it could be related to the player used on the phone. Since you have Pandora working, I might try that just to see if it works.

thanks!

You might try re-formatting the card using: http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/...32format.shtml

It worked successfully for others with large drive sizes. There's a few different options for FAT32. If I remember correctly there was a few PNY thumb drives that were pre-formatted as FAT32, but would only work after a re-format.

Just an FYI.

Officially from MINI USA A2DP is NOT supported although a few (Very Few) have been able to get it to work.

It comes down to there are so many different firm versions in phones that MINI is having trouble keeping up. Just like the changes that Apple made to iPod/iPhone charging just two years ago. With each change from a manufacturer companies like MINI have to shift gears to make things work again

Another Great example is LG. Back in 2008 they changed their bluetooth software during a firmware upgrade to the Env series phones and bluetooth for many people in many makes of cars stopped working for phone calls and contacts.

Hopefully MINI can work out the problems they are having and can get A2DP working for a lot more people on the "Connected Systems", but at this point I believe it will be years before they get it active for not Connected System cars.

Yep, works with the usb.

For those of you waiting for iPhone 4 snap-ins, richardsperry just posted about a phone call he received from MINI USA. It sounds like they should be in the parts database and available for dealers to order sometime next week:

The samsung solstice from AT&T doesn't work either. The phone recognizes Mini blue tooth but when you pair it the phone says connection failed.

I have been reading this thread and have found nothing on the New Palm phones. (I have only gotten to page 6...) Does anyone know if the palm pre plus works?

I think you'll find the spreadsheet in my sig easier to search than the entire thread

There's mixed reports on the Pre, but most say that it works. Sorry about the Samsung phones, but thanks for the new info.

Samsung Galaxy S Captivate Works

I just got the Samsung Galaxy S Captivate, which I think is known as the SGH-i896, and can report that it pairs with my R56 - no problems. I am on Rogers in Canada; the phone is on Android 2.2 with Bluetooth 3.0.

Thanks InvaderZim! The Galaxy S is now included as well.

Also, love your car's name, it makes me want a Pepper White named Onigiri

Thank you! The Eternity is now added.

And the Crux is in the list as well!

Also, I imagine anyone willing to experiment with Android ROMs has probably already thrown caution to the wind, but Cyanogenmod 7.0.0-rc1 pairs, dials and syncs the address book, with a MyTouch Slide 3G in particular.

Black Berry Bold Issue

Hi,

I have a 2009 Clubman. My previous BB Storm worked perfect. Sound in/out was great.

Now have a Bold. And the problem is people can barely hear me and saw there is static.

I have rebooted, upgraded, etc. No change. The phone sends/receives fine with other Bluetooth systems.

Any suggestions? I see it is listed as compatible in this thread.

Thanks.

Jeff

So forgive if this has already been discussed, but could not find my wife's new work phone on the list made on the first post on this thread. She just got a new BlackBerry Bold model 9650. Her personal phone, iPhone 3gs, works just fine but the new phone just will not connect in her 09 MCS. Any suggestions?

Unless RIM has really screwed up their bluetooth there should be no problem with the Bold 9650.

One thing for you though is that the phone MUST NOT be in "Discoverable Mode". That will make it fail.

Which Model Bold do you have? there are some different settings menus depending on which model you have.

And when you say it works fine with other Bluetooth Systems do you mean cars or headsets?

The Samsung Transform SPH-M920 will now work with the MINI because they have released an update for it which includes "Improved Bluetooth device support".

Already tested and it works.

Phones started to get the update over the air yesterday and will get it till tomorrow... if you still don't have it by tomorrow you can update it manually.
you can read all the details here:

AT&T Motorola Atrix 4G MG860

Pairs and makes calls with '09 Clubman S (no nav). However, phone sends out weird "attempting to access phone book" (or something similar) message every couple of minutes. Also has linked on its own to something else: was playing random music off my iPod--perhaps acting as Bluetooth speakers? I couldn't figure out how to turn this off! It has done this twice.
