JCW GarageInterested in John Cooper Works (JCW) parts for your 1st Generation MINI? This is where JCW upgrades and accessories for the Cooper (R50), Cabrio (R52), and Cooper S (R53) MINIs are discussed.
. . . But for the next DCMM gathering, I'll wear the Works hat, just for you chows.
DaCreama took me to the Tortilla Factory once for an impromptu DCMM meeting two years ago while I was in Reston for training. I need to figure out a way to sneak out there again . . .
For anyone interested in more CRAP, here is the latest piece just off the plane from England ... You cant see it in the pic but the logo is near the front of seat
I'm sorry, but would that be the black and shockingly red seats or the Op Art carpets? It's so bright in there, I'm sure you need shades!
You bettcha. Next is to tear out the back seat and find the build sheet. Worked wonders for the GM Futurama bus . . .
Good news and bad news: No tearing necessary. The backseat lifts off its clamps with a couple of sharp tugs on the front corners. Then lift the front to disengage the tang at the rear. The seatbacks are secured by one 10mm bolt in the center. Remove it, then rotate the seatback to about the 2 o'clock position to free the cotter pinned shafts. Alas, no build sheet in evidence. The resulting cavity, however, perfectly accomodates a set of track wheels and tires!
For anyone like you, I would either order from an out of state dealer or if you are desperate for a car I know that Cincinnati MINI has a new 2005 JCW car with every frickin option possible that they are desperate to get rid of
...For $49 000, and it doesn't even look that good!
I hate the fact that the JCW caused me to dump a limited edition single production year car and what some say is the "best GTI ever made" in favor of this little rocket ship....
I hate the fact that I still have to wait another month for mine, But I am enjoying reading about all the things I'm going to hate.
Can you say " Smile from ear to ear"
+ I can't seem to keep it off the rev limiter in 1st gear. and the Borla growling from the back 'n SC whine from the front 'n butt planted in the seat!
Whoo Hoo.....
