Solution to Hot Steering Wheel

I always hate to get into my Mini after it has been sitting in the sun(even with tinted windows) here in S.W. Florida. Found this cover to keep it cool ,and Kool.

Produced locally for about $50. Any logo available. Not from me

The solution I see used most often here in SC is a white hand towel draped over the top of the steering wheel. May not work well in the convertible pictured, but should work for all others

edit: Cost - $2

Also, a solution for hot or cold seats and very comfortable year-round. We've had ours in the R52 for 3 or 4 years and just got a set for co-pilot's new CM.

They also have sheepskin steering wheel covers but have no experience with that item.

Sheep skin is good, but out of place here in Fla. A white towel works, and is cheap, but if all I wanted was cheap, I would be driving a '64 Toyota Camary.... not being snide, but,

Being a little snide myself, a 1964 Toyota Camry ("Camary" sic) might be a collector's car, since the Camry was not introduced in the US until 1981. I purchased a Camry during this first year. My MINI is much more fun to drive.

Agreed.
Almost got killed in a Rt hd dr. Camry/Camary in Karachi, Pakistan in 1989. Didn't check the date, didn't check the spelling, didn't find the ride fun. Also, it did not have a st. wheel cover.....

That's pretty nifty. Do they make things for shift *****? Had an aftermarket one and it was metal so when it sat in the heat it was almost untouchable for a while. Always had to drape something over it.

Work is done by a very talented local artisan. She could likely design a "sock", (or Shift condom) for the ****?? Maybe put a little winged logo on the top??
