Does your MINI have a name?
Molly M. Cooper...because she told me it was even before she graced our garage. Listen to the song "Good Golly Miss Molly"!! She's as cute as can be and has the attitude to boot!!

My '06 JCW is named "Jack" from the show "LOST." He has a compass rose roof graphic to keep me from getting lost.
(Considered the Darma Initiative logo but I knew I'd be teased to no end)
My GP is named "Sawyer" from the same show. Sawyer is a bad boy and so is the GP!
My son's GP is named "Charlie" from the same show as well! "you all everybody..."
My daughter's Charger (sold) was named "Hurley" and guess what...another character of LOST!
Guess I need to keep buying MINIs so I will have the whole cast, huh? LOL

Hope the names and stories keep coming. This is so interesting for me.
BTW, found these other naming threads, also, for those like me:

Names just come to me. When they come fast and easy, I use them.
Back in '05, when I was using the configurator to build both an 'S' and a Cooper, Emerson came to me for the 'S', and Obie for the Cooper. I bought the Cooper, so Obie it is.

In Japan it seems to be a fashion term describing a "little girl" look, taken from Lolita.
I wanted to name my girl something British and sassy to match her 'tude. I pondered a few London Tube station names, but none were right. Then I was thinking about British bands and their songs, when Roxanne smacked me up side the head. Roxxy, as I call her, is perfect for my girl. I added an extra X because I think it ups her attitude.
Well... I originally thought my clubby would naturally be a boys name since my previous car was my "old man"... Nothing seemed to fit... and then one day it came to me... as I was walking out to my car from a store I started to sing, " There She Is... and thats how she was named MISS AMERICA...
I've always wanted a Corgi (Cardigan, not Pembroke) and I think the Clubman's personality matches a Corgi. Long (ish), sleek, low to the ground, and ready to play
I haven't named any car I've ever owned. But if I were to name my Clubman, it'd be Nunzio - after the Corgi on Dharma and Greg

Here's Butters

My '05 Liquid Yellow Cabrio is named Butters. I saw him & knew right away, with his big round eyes & goofy/shy grin. He also has his evil side like Professor Chaos

No matter what comes his way, it always seems to turn out to have a happy ending...for him anyway
Clutch. One of my favorite bands from way back. Had a shirt of theirs that had a Maryland license plate that said CLUTCH. This being the first car I bought and registered in Maryland it seemed perfect. I wonder if anyone is still using that vanity plate these days? Plus, its a standard transmission and comes up big in the clutch (in the corners).
I posted in the other threads mentioned, but it's good to reminisce!
My '04 MCS (first MINI) was named FOR me by my soldiers. I hit a deer going home one night - it only punched in the license plate, with no other damage besides realllly grossing me out (which is hard to do, by the way...). Everybody knew how much I loved my MINI, and so the soldiers started calling it The DeerSlayer. The name went with it when I sold it to a very deserving NCO who would love it. I still don't know if it was a boy or girl car...
My '07 MCS turbo - at one point I had identical MINIs; I couldn't bear to give my '04 up!! Anyway...he was very mysterious for about a year - I couldn't tell if it was a tomboy or a boy.
We moved back to the US, and I was driving home from work one day wondering why none of the movie theaters around NEVER EVER sell junior Mints anymore. The word MINTS kept reverberating in my head - and suddenly that was all I could think about: Mints and the MINI. I think it was his way of telling me he chose his name.

Wonder if the name will translate into a French temperament.
