My mini's name is Artemis from Wild Wild West because he always has some sort of cool gadget popping out of somewhere. LOL and it's just a cool name...

Sounds kinda whacky but all of my cars have called a name to me while driving the first 1000 miles or so. This one called 'Augie' so Augie it was.

My Clubbie's name is Hermione. I read all seven Harry Potter books aloud to my daughter and we loved them. I thought Hermione was a great British name for a MINI and the book character is a great role model for girls. Not to mention that Emma Watson is adorable.

My daughter got me started on the Potter series. I like the name, also--once I learned how to pronounce it properly. Took a ten-year old for that.

Lucille

I am the proud new owner of a Chile Red Cooper Clubman and have named her Lucille, she always brings a smile to my face. What a great birthday present!

My BRG is Acacia.
Acacia has a long history in its healing abilities, and when I push her start button I can feel her medicinal infusion.
Furthermore, as a 'Travelin' Man', the Sprig of Acacia, has more meaningful conotations.

As I understand it, acacia is also good for natural clothing, unique furniture, organic linens, and jewelry. Travelin' Man must mean itinerant saleman?

Anyway her passing caused me to take some chances and understand that everything in life does not need to be practical. I have wanted a Mini for 5years but had put it off because it did not make sense, size, price, etc... Anyway I was curious to see if anyone else had stories as to how they named their cars.

CHUBBIE: Comes from a joke my sister did where she would push both hands against her cheeks and say "Hi my name is Chubbie..." Very funny.
Great reason for your name. Cool way to honor your sister.

Anikin. I wanted Vador but I has seen a few MINI's named that. I have also seen Darth MINI.( I think the owner sold it a few months back) So I figured I would show that I'm a full blown nerd and see if anyone gets the connection.

No Caniglia, I'm a Master Mason and 32nd Degree Scotish Rite. We use the term 'Travelin Man' as one who travels throughout other Lodges in fellowship and benevolance; just to name a couple.

And Curtab, I commend, but most importantly respect your memorial to your loving sister. Keep motorin'. Just keep on motorin'.

Well, that's pretty cool. Works on several levels, what with the MINI and all.

I know somebody on NAM named their MINI Bombadil, and I must say that my car is your wife.. Finally named my BRG- her name is Goldberry. Goldberry is Tom Bombadil's wife from the LOTR series and she is said to wear a dress made out of green leaves.

I named my car the green-eyed monster. Long story short, my partner bought a Cooper S and I could not stop driving it. All I heard was, "get out of my car and drive your own." I was jealous of her little car as my daily driver is a Jetta and just not quite as much fun. So I decided, fine, I'll buy my own and that's how we ended up with two Mini's. I bought a factory JCW in BRG. Now I can have fun in my Mini Coop whenever I like!

Our is Wind, she's a cool blue cabrio so the wind is in our hair. I always liked the Jeff Beck song Blue Wind too. It's an awesome motoring song.

Boy, I hope I don't break Wind...
