Does your MINI have a name?
My Mini is called: Tradition
It plays both on the tradition of the car, as well as the tradition of the Crimson Tide football team, which is my team of choice.
The checkerboard theme has implications both of the racing tradition of minis, as well as the fact that it resembles the famous houndstooth hat pattern worn by Bryant.

Phantom
My MINI, born yesterday, will be called Phantom. Triple Pure Silver, with a balance of chrome and black and grey inside and out. Going for the understated, stealth look. Plan to replace the chrome upper grill with the JCW black grill (but keep the chrome grill trim). Black sport stripes are probably my one non-stealth feature, but they add to the phantom look - sort of a mask. Oh well, it was fun to plan this car, and it will be even more fun to drive it.
My wife said we HAD to give it a name.
Well, O.K. well Is aid it's kind of "not manly" and all that... so I then suggest Paddington as a joke and she says "yes that's perfect"
I then got the entire story behind "Paddington Bear"

That's funny! Even funnier if your car was yellow... and/or red.
I can appreciate naming something dear to you such as your Mini. It is important to name your Mini aptly. While I only hold my fellow Mini owners (and future owners) in high esteem and would never question an individuals inalienable right to name their Mini as they see fit. Some come across as cute. Which is totally fine and I can see the fun in it (Some are quite clever)
. I however wish to somehow capture a more masculine name, perhaps something that carries some sense of might with it (while also honoring the British heritage). Thus I thought of choosing a name in honor of Her Majesty’s Royal Navy ships of WW II. Names such as….. Illustrious, Victorious, Indomitable, Implacable, Indefatigable, Valiant, Warspite, Renown, Hood, Terror, Furious, Courageous, Glorious, Audacity, Puncher, Avenger, Biter, Chaser, Reaper, Valorous, Tally Ho…….etc. Amazing names!! Who’s with me? Anyone?!?!?
They seem to roll off the tongue. As in,
- Time to jump in “Audacity” and run to pick up a gallon of milk.
-Pardon sir, but you’ve parked you Ford a little too close to “Implacable”.
-“Victorious” sure sips the gas even though I can’t stop pressing the sport button.
What to choose? What to choose?

No, don't call it Tally Ho...and DEFINITELY NOT 'Ho" for short.
But really...the car will tell you it's name. What if you name it one of your suggested names, and it turns out to be a girl??
For now, I've dubbed my car "The Wee Beast." It's not as HOT as a JCW or a Cooper S, but it's still a great performer. I was surprised by how much performance MINI was capable of stuffing into this little package!

I have a friend (female) that went sort of the route you did but went with famous admirals in the Brittish navy and calls her Mini "lord Nelson". My Mini (which is a girl BTW) gave me here name so she is called "Precious". The best thing about her name is, it is so unassuming and it really bothers the autoxers I beat when they get beat by a MC named "Precious"!!

Gosh, I still am not 100% firm on a name for ours. I like "Oxy" because it was built in Oxford, England.
My friend at work came up with "Cappy", "Teeny Turner", and "Mini Ha Ha".
I also like "Mini Glacier" since it is white and one of my favorite places I've been is the Many Glacier Hotel in Montana.

He rode on "Yoshi". Koopas were Marios enemy....most of them were the turtle looking dudes. Pretty cool name however.
