I like shortbus.
Maybe you can get the guys/girls at aestheticreations.net to make you some schoolbus type decals for the back doors and side panels.

I'm waiting on my Clubman S and have not decided 100% on a name yet. Am leaning toward "Jupiter" for two reasons: a tongue in cheek reference to our solar system's largest planet and also b/c scientists just discovered another red spot on Jupiter (my Clubman is to be Chili Red).

I don't know why but Tobey was my Mini's name a week before i got him. Tobey just kept jumping out in my head...so his name is Tobey.
I never named my 06 WRX, but a Mini just doesn't seem like a complete Mini without a name.

My brothers 06 is named Oscar, and unfortunately my folks never named their 03.

He’s called Nigel

A mixture of being a “proper” British name, and a reference to Nigel Mansel. In the event you're unaware, Nigel M was a Formula One champion in the 80’s, came stateside and raced Champ cars in the early 90’s, before returning to F1 about ‘94. He was very fast, had a bit of attitude, and when he returned to F1, they had to rework the cockpit of the car for him, as he was “just a wee bit bigger” than his brethren.

It all just seemed to fit……..

Soon to be MY/W owner

My MY/W MCS is ordered and scheduled for production. After careful consideration I have determined that as tough a little car as it appears it will be "Maggy".

I first had to look at my config'd MINI enough to determine boy or girl. Got the girl vibe, so next had to come up with something Beatles related cuz everything I name is Beatles related.

So I think I've decided on Maggie Mae even though the Maggie Mae they sang about was a crook, its still a pretty name and I like hearing the "boys" being all silly when they sang it.

Maggie Mae won't be here till sometime in September.

Dumpnrun, have you gotten hold of an owner manual for reading material? There is a link to the pdf in the Clubman 2008 forum. Also, look for a mini-motoring club in your area and their site/forums will provide more hours of reading/photos. I enjoy reading about the events/driving rallies. Mini2 is a nice site also, wee bit too Euro, but still occupies the waiting time. And good luck to you with (Alice)Cooper!

looking at baby names.....

I've been looking at baby names to get inspiration for my new mini girl due last week of august! thank goodness the stork is bringing her!

I found Adi which means "my jewel". I'm still thinking about it. I like the meaning cuz she will be lightning blue and the color does look like a jewel. Not so sure about the name itself..... Any comments on the name?

My first car was a do-do brown 1984 ford tempo (1991 and I was a junior in high school). She was very finicky and didn't always do what you asked of her. She was sassy and had a mind of her own. except for the outside color, Mae West fit her perfectly! A lot of good memories in Mae West! Like the time I detailed (extra well) the vinyl back seat and took some friends riding in the back seat while taking curves a bit fast and they went a sliding!!! the goofy things you do as a teenager!!

He's blue so naturally, I named him Cooper. It's always Cooper, never 'the'. Cooper enjoys driving to new places, and he loves taking pictures as well!

Our first was supposed to have a name, someone could never decide on one. I thought he should be called Tiff but my wife thought that sounded too much like a girl's name.

Quentin was named for one of Tiff's co-presenters, and it fit with the plate I'd decided on "Q22 MINI".

Tristan was so named because he arrived on the Isolde, and the "Tri" part of that fit with being number 3.

Shawn was such a departure from our previous MINI we started talking about him being the black sheep.

My PW/PW MC R56's name is.....Digby! Thought it was a cute, unassuming name for a cute, lil British car.

I named my '08 MCSa Scrappy because he is small yet tough.Having tussled with big rigs on the highway during my trip to Minnesota and back he came out unscathed and gained their respect.

I was trying to think of a name for my future mini for a long time. Listening to a beatles song yesterday (eleanor rigby) and it dawned on me.... Rigby a perfect name for a mini. So now my unordered mini has now, finally, got an identity. Meet Rigby, he hasnt been ordered yet but will be born when i have enough money for a down payment.

The gal I bought my MCS from called it the "Brit mobile". I find this kind of funny, considering that she is British. My friends also refer to the car as the "Brit mobile", but somehow I get images of Britney Spears in my head. YUCK!

...I have yet to find a better name for the car.
