"Tonka" is the name and motoring is the game.
Named in Jun of 06. Any others by that name out there?

My grandma said I should call my car Daisy because she said my white rims remind her of flowers

Mine has a gear shift as well, and she is definitely a girl. I'm not sure what makes the difference, but it's not the transmission.

Well, I'm a male and mine's a male (Buzz, is that already taken?)... so when I say I'm riding Buzz to work, well, I do get a funny stare or two, lol. I call him Buzz for two reasons: one, he's an overachiever (like Buzz Lightyear, you know), he always thinks he's an S. Two, if I ever get frustrated and start calling the car names, I'd rather not say it to a lady. So he's Buzz, the manly Hot Orange with Navy top MINI, lol.

The wife calls her BiBi, and it's a she. The name is not only because she's yellow with black stripes and top, but also because of her Speed Racer affliction and her tendency to leave me behind every chance she gets... I wonder why that is, lol.

MrsBean,

That movie scares the ...out of me. Do you ever find that she isn't parked in exactly the same spot as you remember? Does the dome light have a funny glow? When you think maybe I should slow down, do you find yourself accelerating instead? (That last one may be normal for every Mini.)

LOL!!! My husband actually says that I act like the guy who owns Christine. I don't call her that because she is possessed. Maybe I should think of a new name for her? She looks like a little mouse How about Gerry? Like Jerry the mouse, only as a female

My wife KNOWS I'm obsessed. When we go to the mall I park one town over and we walk in, so he doesn't get dinged. She rolls her eyes when I get out the wash clothes and soap every four days so that Max isn't dirty. When I broke out the brand new white Egyptian Cotton towels to dry Max off, she almost lost it - "What? You don't expect me to use the house towels do you? Those things are like sandpaper?" I'm now having accessories shipped to work so she doesn't know. Is that bad?

What about the name "Thumper"?

He looks like a Mini ready to race.

I'm still waffeling between two names. My Mini was originally named Basil, but my wife keeps referring to the Mini as my mistress (fancy car wash stuff, fancy towels to dry, etc.), so I came up with a female name (Fiona). Now I just need my little blue car to let me know what sex he/she is, I can finalize the name.... From the outside, kinda curvy like a female. While driving, with supercharger spinning, seems very male. I'm so confused.

You could always try a gender-non-specific name...? A few I've seen/heard on NAM are
Curby
Payton (I've heard that could be a boys OR girls name)
Blurr
Nippy
Dingo
LunchBox (i thought that was funnY!)
Wander - that was kinda creative
Tink / Tonk
Pippin (like in the Lord of the Rings)

When I see/hear a nifty name, I write it down.

COCO PUFF

Loved the cereal as a kid.
Love car as adult................I use that term loosely and my wife would agree

If someone had one of those orange ones with the brown interior, they could name theirs, PB CUP or REESES

"Coco Puff" - I think that's a great name. Maybe even Count Chocula for other brown Minis. "Cheerios" or "Cheerio" (which also sounds British) for the Sparkling Silver ones. What about "Captain Crunch" for those of us who haven't driven a manual in a while (ouch)?
"Frosted Mini Wheat" for the white roofs, like mine.
"Booberry" for the blue ones.

I was driving to work this morning smiling as I went along, thinking no matter what I call this car, it is a lot of fun!
