That $53 woulda made it yours lol. Nice barn find, the kind that just needs a wash.
LOL
Yeah that GP is cool, I'm curious where it was found at.

In the past tense though, I totally regret not investing in the precious metal iridium back around late '20 because it went to the moon!
Starting to level back down now though.
The only reason I ever looked into the price of iridium is because my sister who works at NAPA told me that they were having trouble getting iridium spark plugs eight months back and I wanted to find out what was going on.
Another one in my neck of the woods,
Huntsville Alabama.
The temptation is strong because slicktop and what appears to be rare JCW accessories like the shift light and rear wing, along with aero kit,

Thanks everyone for moving this thread over and keeping it alive! I often come back here and scroll in search of my 7th MINI.. I'm somewhat amazed this site is still going given the popularity of Facebook Groups. Forums are way better, the organization of info is far easier than scrolling through a single feed of every subject matter which then gets buried.
We’re keeping the light on for you buddy. Are you still actively searching? If so, what are your specs?
If the right MINI comes along, but I'm not super serious. .. I already have the 3rd garage spot taken with my 95 Wrangler which I'm in the middle of restoring, so not in a rush. I bet my wife wouldn't mind parking outside if it means getting a Cooper again, lol.
Ideally, a red R52 JCW or S with bumper damage so I can get it cheap and throw on my primo condition chili bumper. Blue would also do the job, either R52/R53, any center stack besides nav, would like HK/heated seats, but thats about it. I also have a set of heated dark navy seats, so I may do well with a fix'r upper MINI and can finally clean out the garage.
I saw some college kid speed by in a dark silver JCW R53 the other day and I've been jealous since.
Thats actually not bad.. By today's standards of course. Its probably faster than a JCW, but without the price tag. That silver just isn't doing it for me though..

"2008 Mini Cooper Sidewalk Edition Convertible
The Good: Beautiful heated saddle leather seats. Power Windows, Locks, Mirrors. 5 Speed Manual transmission. Air Conditioning blows nice and cold. Clear Title. Body and Interior in very good shape. Clutch is solid. Since I’ve had the car (the last 2 years) the axles and CV Joints have been replaced. The water pump, cooling fan and Coolant hoses have been replaced. The battery, throttle body, sparks plugs and wires have been replaced.
The Bad:
I just took the car to Mini of Tempe for a thorough inspection. Needs Tires, shocks, motor mounts, rear quarter window regulators. Power steering hoses are seeping. Some of the convertible seams are pulling although top is still watertight."

Every car I've ever taken to a MINI dealer has "needed" everything mentioned. The only thing that would concern me would be the power steering hoses, those are a bear to do but if its just a seep I'd wait for it to go out. Wish it was at least an S, but could be fun still.
