What mostly caught my attention though, is the quality of photographs, you can see in one of the pics that they're just using a phone, wonder what kind it is?

^^^ You're confusing the two auctions; i.e., the 2006 R53 GP on C&B is still going with completion tomorrow -and- the 2005 R53 with Steptronic on BaT closed today at $17k. Auto box doesn't appeal to me either for enthusiast's car but compromises are reasonable for those whom routinely drive in stop-go traffic. Also noting, all 2006 GP were manual gearbox.
