Hey, sorry for not responding. I thought I had got back to everyone that reached out (via text). I had a buddy of mine who is part of this forum reach out to me and let me know I missed responding back to someone. I just registered to respond to this post. If possible, please visit the craigslist post to contact me through text message since I'm not a frequent flyer on the forum. I'm located in Tucson, AZ..Thanks again.
Saw a comment about dropping the price. Nothing is wrong with the car, and it needs absolutely nothing. Just thought I was a bit high on the asking price.

2005 Driver in California.
176K miles....
$3200
6-sp... no navi....
"Bought this as a second car. But now working from home I don’t need another car sitting here. Definitely a fun car to drive. Has CARB legal intake and 15% pulley upgrade. Recently installed new battery, clutch slave cylinder, valve cover gasket, spark plug wires, coil pack, rear brakes and brake sensors. "
The prices there on these Minis are high compared to the private sale sector … convenience shopping for sure … great examples of nice cars…but, definatly not the place to find the 'deals'
This car could have been bought for $18k 2.5 months ago...
Though it looks to need a thorough detail … this is IMO an amazing find, even for the asking price of $20k
More of a ‘club spec’ … basic seats, manual climate control, no cruise control, SlickTop…
That’s the part that makes it cool to me … not an ‘accessory-catalog’ car (which can be cool to… but this is Refreshing to see)
California car… so none of that ‘rust belt’ corrosion …
and less then 5k miles on it
dang … I hope someone on here can see this car for what it is and snap it up !

Cars on BAT sell at a healthy premium for some reason...Sellers love the platform because BAT's cut is limited to 5k max, even on their premium listings, which can go for 1 million +. This car has been driven less than 300 miles/year on average; I see that as more of a negative than a positive. I 'watch' all MINIs and Minis on BAT. It's a lot of fun.
This one popped-up SW of me a few hours ago. From ad text, seems he suspects one of us will post it here for interest. So I'll oblige, however no mention of ownership history, no confirmation whether factory JCW or dealer-installed kit and no interior pics included.
If that owner see this, perhaps update your ad accordingly as relates to your premium asking price. Nice exterior pics, regardless!
Not sure it’s worth $20K with 95K miles, but it definitely needs further investigation if you were in the market for a possibly rare MINI.
What I noticed about the ad is it has a lot of specs listed that look like they were taken from a marketing list, and not necessarily written by someone who knows the details of MINI’s. There are also things that don’t make sense like “17” wheel 195/55R-16 all-season run-flat tires”, center mounted speedometer but also listing navigation system (you can see the dual clocks on the steering column in the pics), custom instead of JCW carbon fiber wing, and “This is the middle of the 2005 -2007 series of JCW and a very unique Mini Cooper.”
While I don’t know where 2005-2007 series of JCW came from, he could be right on the unique part. From the pics, and if his parts listing is correct, particularly in regards to the JCW engine kit and LSD, this looks like it could be a highly optioned Factory JCW Checkmate with an Aero Kit and JCW Carbon spoiler. You can barely make out real JCW brakes up front which would come with a Factory JCW along with the LSD, and it looks like it has the domed Checkmate decals on the quarter windows next to the B pillars. Space Blue was probably most common color for a Checkmate, and they had leather and cloth seats which he also lists. Interior pics and the VIN would answer a lot of questions.
Talked to the owner and got the VIN, it's a Checkmate JCW with LSD of course. Wish it had 30k less miles for that price. But he admitted they're just looking to capitalize on the crazy market.
I'd say it's a good deal, in 'driver condition' so will need some cosmetic attention, but otherwise given how crazy the market is right now it looks like a bit of a bargain to me?
I always try to look up GP's since they're numbered and sometimes you'll get some hits, like this GP was formerly owned by NAM'r @djtiti in Texas:
