General MINI TalkShared experiences, motoring minutes, and other general MINI-related discussion that applies to all MINIs, regardless of model, year or trim.
Looks like one of the most popular threads of all time on NAM just "timed out" as the "old" marketplace was closed a while ago.... with the remainder of the "OLD" marketplace... so.... since it covers ALL the years of the MINI's... AND.... the thread is NOT selling any cars... just pointing people to them... I'm continuing the thread here for all to see and post in.
I come across great deals on rarer R53/2 all the time, and usually have to painfully watch them expire. If you see a nice, well priced, or rare Cooper post a link!
I'll start:
Not great prices but here are a couple Sidewalk JCWs:
Geneva Motorcars brings on average probably at least 2-3 low mile r53s per month on Bat. You should contact him directly thru his sight, he might be able to help you find what you’re looking for.

Good idea! Thanks for the heads up. It's good to learn about the best sources for R53s.
This new location is throwing me off a bit, creature of habit lol. Been busy and not looking or posting much, but I’ll be sure to put up what I find. Like the old thread, the more frequent posts, the more this thread will the one visible when looking at “general MINI talk” instead of “ Marketplace archive”. I think that’s what’s throwing a lot of us off. May be a good idea to see if it can be put over to the new MINI marketplace. Either way, I’m sure this one will heat up. I think a lot of people are also finally getting out in the nice weather.
NOTE: Whenever possible, include the VIN when you post here.
If you can find the VIN in an ad or copy it from one of the pictures with a little effort, it’s helpful to include here. It will allow the car and any discussion about it to be searched in the future.
Sounds like it is the same one you saw at Funky's. Two different posters in the BaT thread commented on just missing out on snagging it from a wholesale dealer in Grove City, OH

Good luck in your search..
That'd be it then. Crazy to see such low miles on one of these.
Slightly off topic,
but one of the things I always look at for some peculiar reason is the location of the TMAP sensor wire.
Can someone here confirm correct factory location?
I've seen pix, like for instance in the JCW brochure...
...where it is located behind the coolant hose, and in fact it seems a majority that I've seen on various R53's are routed this way, but I didn't like the chafing (even though it is well sleeved, it still bugged me ) so I relocated in front of the coolant hose like in the BaT GP picture.
That turbo conversion is pretty ragged out. I wouldn't believe anything the seller is saying if he claims the bonnet is open. The bumper cover should be flush with the fog light
