I fear I would end up being scared to drive it. Essentially being owned by the car instead of owning it. It would be really cool to have a pristine version of a car I really love though.
Here's a grey r53 in Colorado. 62k miles, but I have a bunch of questions about it. He says it's an 06, but it has the pre facelift steering wheel. Also those seem like 62,000 rough miles.
Probably rust free, but I think the guy is nutz asking $6500 for a sun damaged car like this, If the plate is original to the car, that should give you some idea of exposure. If you own your own paint booth, this one might be for you.
It always cracks me up that people put "no check engine light" in their ad. To me, that's kind of like saying "the brakes work."
Makes me wonder...did they recently have a check engine light? Is the issue really resolved?

I think nearly the entire time I owned my R53 the check engine light was on or a combo trifecta of ABS and traction control. In the end I hated that car and I always hoped someone would hit me in it.
Clean title, just passed smog. Excellent condition. Runs great, everything works. Loaded: leather seats, panoramic sunroof. Power windows, power mirrors, power locks. Car is clean inside and out. Good tires.
Screw this guy: I thought I had the cleanest 1st gen Mini Cooper S in the USA and now I find out this guy has the cleanest 1st gen Mini Cooper S in the USA. Damn! Life is just so unfair!

More competition for cleanest early gen1 in the U.S. funny for a $21k plus car, they get the color name wrong, how does that happen. Curb rash wheels and worn seat bolster, oof. https://www.lothopper.com/Details?VI...rstoryDeeplink
Anyone near New Haven, CT and willing to take a look at a car for me? I'm in Wisconsin so am not able to go myself. Will happily buy you and your significant other dinner in return. Thanks.
