Just now spotted this 2003 MCS with documented JCW Tuning Kit south of me in east Phoenix area. Exterior looks very nice but interior and leather seating could use some TLC. Interestingly, shows WA State plate but originally sold in Scottsdale AZ where now advertised. Depending on exposure to PNW weather, could be a pretty nice example for not too much $$.

^^^ Unsure I agree based on ad description and that window sticker originally selling dealer (where I bought my former 2013 MCS). CL reply contact icon brings up first name and phone number, which then should help establish whether ad is legit...

The original add, from CL in Spokane, posted 5 days ago, had a different first name and contact number. Readers of this can do what they want with that info.
^^^ Had you included that info in your first reply, likely would have agreed. Ad pics show both PNW scenery plus what appears to be Arizona style residential street with palm trees etc. Those aspects seem consistent with ad description, however different name and phone number sounds fishy. As is said, Caveat Emptor...

Apologies for not detailing every piece of evidence I had for the listing not being legit
The JCW sills were really for the aero skirts, and yes definitely NLA, I have a NIB set just waiting for some pristine skirts before I bust them out. They can be mounted on the stock skirts after removing the aluminum, but you need to sand down a couple bumps before putting the gels because they will cause a bump in the gel.
^^^ Having replaced the driver side aluminum "Cooper S" sill plate with a new one some weeks ago, I can say that was a messy job. I used combo of Goo Gone and plastic scraping tools to remove the delaminated foam tape followed by orange degreaser and iso alcohol before applying the replacement sill plate. Worth the effort though for blemish-free appearance.
Yes, I'm admittedly **** as likely you guys are on yours.
Oh shoot, that's local to me. I've found that these guys tend to price high on their minis though. They usually do a lot of service on the cars prior to sale.
Still seems like a lot considering the paint fade on the rear bumper, dents on the front and rear bumpers, pretty scarred up hood from rock chips, and very little options. It's cool that it has a slick top and all of the mods done to it. Would make for an awesome track car if not for the high price.

Not to mention the missing badge from the hood. Such a small item that would make just a little better impression. Sad thing is they’ll probably get that money, but they have had some pretty nice JCWs over there, and always have atleast 2-3 R53s in their inventory.

Yeah, really weird to not fix something simple like this. What else have they overlooked?
I saw this on Facebook marketplace. I’ve never seen another, but 50,000 km so it’s been driven. Asking $16750 Canadian. Looks like it was a fun build for this person, considering the other cars you can see in their collection.
I think that piece of garbage has been for sale forever. It's one of those vehicles that after the novelty of looking like a **** wears off the process repeats by selling again. All I see is a drivetrain donor, but not at that price. I could buy a late model Mini that's not shagged.
