Thanks. I don't think you would have saved money by waiting. List in the US is $504.xx. I got mine from there as well for $452.xx delivered. Damn they look awesome!!!

I was impressed as well when I took them out and hefted them in hand. As far as build quality I was expecting the same housing as the OEM DRL/fog unit with a new LED internal design. However the LED DRLs are unique and constructed very well.

I followed the guide below that was posted earlier in this thread. With only the paltry instructions included in the box I would not have been able to complete my install.
2nd Gen DRL Fitting Guide
Please bear in mind that this is a right-hand drive Mini and you do not need to remove your battery, I am guilty of blindly following that step but I look at it from the perspective of "hey, now I know how easy it is to remove a Mini's battery."
Good luck with your install, Greg!

Well you guys convinced me. I ordered mine from MINISport on Tuesday. Currently waiting for a tracking number. Can't wait to install them and see how they are going to look on my Laser Blue R56!

I am still waiting on my 2013 MCS HT so ordering parts would not make sense yet. But the list of stuff I want to do keeps growing but my bank account does not seem to do the same thing... hhhhmmmm

I am going to probably get the DRL and some other cosmetic mods before moving on to other performance and handling mods.

For those who already installed these DRL's, they do stay on all the time, right?

Have you been through any occasion that you wanted to turn them off?

I know is a silly question, but I wonder if the ability to turn them off is something that I could live without...

PS: they look amazing, one of the most beautiful factory made DRL's I've seen

I know turning them off is a nice to have. I am sure you can wire up a switch and relay to make it happen. I have done it in other car but this is my first exposure to a BMW product and I hear things are a little different.

Hey SuperGreg did you get your installed? You have picture?

So I understand if you have automatic headlights, and have the switch in the auto position, these will not work as halos, but 3/4 of the halo will remain off? I would hate to lose the auto headlight function to make these work as angel eyes.

No.

If you have auto headlights set to auto (on the stalk), when the headlights switch themselves on, the DRL will cut to 1/4 - when the headlights switch themselves off, the full DRL returns.

It is the daytime running light option in the car's settings menu that must be set to off, otherwise the LED DRLs will never fully light up - this menu option just switches on the normal headlights all the time as a DRL, so since the headlights are on, the LED DRL would cut to just the top 1/4.

Just got mine in the mail. Keep in mind they are FULL LED and are fully sealed. Not just the "angel eyes". No halogen bulbs whatsoever. They have some serious heat sinks on the back of the unit. I'm taking time off next Tuesday to install these. Can't wait!

Yeah, they are seriously solid and heavy well constructed units. Mine will probably go in next week as well.
