Yeah there are a lot of dark windows down here, it makes it hard to see the wave!

 

So true here too. Mine are dark.

 

I'm so glad tint is legal here. Lol, I guess it's kind of a necessity.

Too cool. Hey tint is legal in Florida? I still have my PA plates on, so when I change I was curious to that.

 

Yes! I think it should be mandatory..I don't remember the % though. It's pretty dark, I always tell my tint guy as dark as legal, I don't want to give the state my $.

I think MINI folks do NOT wave any longer. Month eight for me. I wave at every MINI. I have even taken to flashing my lights. Still no wave. Craziest cool club I've ever belonged to. I used to ride motorcycles. No prob. Everyone waves. I still see it today. MINIS I've about given up. Soon I will wave to "known" MINIS only.

 

I think it's regional. I give and get waves just about every time I see a MINI in Arkansas. Ditto Florida. Texas, only outside the cities.

 

I was traveling south on Rt 11 the other day going about 70+ mph and saw someone waving at me through the open top of a new Roadster Mini. He started waving at least 1/4 mile before crossed paths.
Nice Car. That may have to be my next Mini experience.

 

Being members of vehicle groups that wave, I know a lot of people have their stipulations.

I know when I rode a motorcycle, I wouldn't wave at people wearing shorts, or riding without a helmet.

When I'm in the subie, I'll only wave at people with a rs or wrx that have something done to them and 04-07 STi's. (I won't bother with a stock car)

In the S. I plan on doing the same. I'll wave to other MCS and mini's with some work done.

 

Just tonight, my wife and I waved at a young woman in an oncoming R56 going the other way on a country road and she just stared straight ahead. Sigh.

 

waved and honked at a white cooper as I took an off ramp...no idea if they waved back....but thats ok....i did my part

really? waving only at certain minis? do you really have the time to see if they had any upgrades? what if the upgrades were on the interior? on average i'm doing 74 so if i see a mini i will wave, no matter age, color or race.

 

Someone who lives in my part of town got a new chili red Countryman, I saw it three times in one day. I waved first and got return waves the first two times, the third time, she waved first!

Now when I see that car, we both wave at the same time.

Some things are usually really easy to see. Wheels, suspension, exhaust. I did however leave out, I'll always return a wave.

I know this may seem "unfriendly" but it is often wasted effort in pittsburgh.

I have started to take a notice of mini's more now that I own one. I've counted 10 that I've passed in the last two days. One S and one modded non S. I waved at them both, even though I was in my work van.

 

I saw a girl yesterday in town twice lol funny part is we went too the same restaurant she refused to wave.. oh well nice mini thou..
two days ago I had a girl wave in a mini S so its really hit or miss in my area

 

I wave to every Mini I drive by.
