Do Mini people still wave at each other??
2 days....2 MNI waves...well...a wave and a light flash. I think it's hard to see the waves a lot of the time...the flashing of the lights seems to get the attention of the folks who are looking for other MINI wavers......
Exchanged waves with a blue CM with Union Jack mirror caps a couple of days ago on I70. Miles later, he took the same exit as I did and several of the same turns into my neighborhood. He must live close to me but this is the first time I've seen him.
You'll get one soon. With the weather warming up, it's a little easier for others to see your wave if your windows are down.
Finally, after 2 years of owning MINI, I finally got a successful wave!
I was heading Monterey, on some backroad detouring from clogged up traffic on freeway, and the guy in silver MINI (don't remember the model) waved at me and I waved back. That felt good.
I must admit I never actually initiated wave from my end as SF Bay Area is filled with MINIs and it seems no one even paying attention when they come across another one. I do peace sign on motorcycle all the time, but never done it on MINI even when I was out of the city.
I gotta wave more.

Spotted a new MINI owner in SoPho this morning on the way in to my McJob. Still had the temporary dealer tag on his blue '08 S, surrounded by a MINI North Scottsdale plate trim ring.
Waved, and got a wave back, and proceeded to thread the needle through traffic with him for a couple miles.
C ya,

We still wave in Orlando. My wife and I just bought out 5th Mini and we always wave. Back in 2005 about 80% waved back. Now it is down to about 15% or less. As Minis became more popular with regular drivers (not Mini Enthusiasts) they just see it as transportation and don't participate in the "club" like parts of Mini ownership. Unfortunate but I went through the same thing with the Mazda Miata in the early 90s.
Last week when I was on my way to school when I saw a yellow Cooper Convertible (with black stripes) and it was a blonde lady driving it (I'm pretty sure shes a Mom). I saw her from up ahead (oncoming traffic) far enough for me to flash my headlights but I didn't get any response so when she got close I waved but I totally got ignored! Yesterday when I was on my way home from school I saw the exact same one and it was the same lady driving it. Again, I got totally ignored! :(
Definitely seeing fewer waves than in the past. I think it has something to do with more MINI owners nowadays with many of the new owners not getting the concept that they have joined an elite driving force.
Took Nikki out of storage yesterday and had to make a 1.5 hour trip south. A guy in a Pepper White R56 with black wheel beeped as he passed me, and we ended up hooking up for almost an hour of high-speed highway driving, swapping the lead several times.
Would love to find him for future runs, that was too cool. Especially since I was headed to a wake and feeling kinda blue before he showed up. Have to thank the MINI Gods for that one.

"Your in a MINI, your supposed to wave back!"
Lately, when I'm out driving in my MINI I haven't see any other MINIs. Yesterday, I drove my Ford F350 pickup to my daughter's house to take a bunch of junk to the dump and I saw about a dozen MINIs on the way there and back.
It took a lot of effort to not wave at them, they would have thought I was nuts, me waving from a big white pickup truck!

I'll only wave if there is interest by the approaching MINI driver (ie wave, eyecontact, etc). Having said that, I have yet to wave/return wave.
Not to be judgemental, but I think most of the MINI's I have met have owners that are not "fanatics". I can see they are not well taken care of and probably were purchased as a used car for the better gas mileage compared with other cars.

I try to wave, but I don't believe anyone sees my two finger wave behind the dark tint. :s
Soo if you see a all black MINI with some stickers in the KC area that's totally me, and I'm looking and trying to wave. :P

I finally got this guy to wave! There's hope!

Only kidding
