WOOW! I've had my MCS since Nov.2012
and FINALLY received a double wave (pass. an driver). I'm in Buffalo and been waving my arm off for a couple month now. I only received funny looks from other mini drivers. But today they actually waved at me first. I wasn't believing in this whole wave thing after 2 month but now I do.

 

I just got my Mini on Wednesday, and have been waving and grinning at every Mini I see. So far, I've got 1 wave and a big smile back. I notice the snotty little college girls think they're too cool to wave.

I'm a recent owner of a MINI Cooper S and have since received a few flashing fog lights and waves. Nice people these MINI owners.

 

Cary's been resting in the garage for a couple of months now... First time on the road Saturday to stretch his legs a bit and got a wave! Gotta love it!

 

I have gotten Waves and fog light flashes. I even had a Sheriff ride behind me and get next to me to give me a thumbs up. That was probably for my Sheriff Association plate.

 

Down here in San Antonio I always see a lot of MINIS but most of them are either moms or old men! I always wave but most of the time I get funny looks! The only people that waved back to me was when I waved to a soldier/military and the 2 girls that go the same high school as me! The rest just give me funny looks or just totally ignore me! Nonetheless I still wave and always will wave!

I have had mine for about 3 weeks now and I have been waving and smiling at mini's I have gotten 3 waves , 2 smiles and 4 just ignored me I will still wave.

 

I waved at another lady in a Countryman and she had to look twice but then broke into a grin and waved happily!

That made my day.

 

Saw 4 today but no waves. Last one I was determined and honked plus wave. Just got a bewildered look. It doesn't discourage me one bit. I wave at all MINIs it's fun!

 

Got a wave from a black MINI today! I think it's taking peeps here in my town a bit to realize that yes, I am in a MINI.

Not a single wave, yet, and I've passed at least a half dozen. Rover people in So Cal didn't wave much either. It's disappointing as Jeep people always did, but it's been a long time since I've had a Jeep.

 

Hang in there! It took a few months before I got a single wave.

 

I've found that the further I get from a MINI dealer the more likely people are to wave...Too close to a dealer and you're one of many.

 

Back in the day most MINI drivers waved around Chicago. Not much anymore :( I gave up.

Got one today! Of course I was practically standing up in the driver seat waving through the moonroof.

 

I just bought my Mini, 2002, and havent tried or had any one wave at me . But when I got my first Austin Cooper 's' in 1967 with 18,000 miles it was just part of what a minidriver did. We had this mighty little sleeper that snuffed everyone in the curves, and not bad off the line , with a few upgrades it could keep up with vette's for the first 2oo feet. No seriously !!! well thats the way I remember it any how.

Gave the thumbs up to a girl driving a Mellow yellow Mini Cooper s today and got a wave!

 

I count at least five a day in my city and I wave all the time, so far no luck. I'll keep trying!!

 

I still wave! *WAVE*. I haven't gotten one back in 6 months though. I live in snobby Orange County in SoCal though.
