Instructions on how to do the MINI Wave.
When you signed the dotted line to own your new MINI, you should of been trained on how to do this.
Since you were not, or you forgot how, see the following attachments for instructions

Lately I have actually had other MINI drivers look at me with a look on their face of 'why is he waving to me?' I know that MINI has gone beyond the enthusiast crowd to a I want a cute econobox group but I am sad at the demise of the sense of community.

Went to the post office today...saw a MINI so I parked next to it. Came out, another had parked next to me with the driver fiddling inside. So I honked, waved and drove off. I certainly got a wave and a smile back, well worth it! Waving isn't dead...we just need to educate those who forgot or didn't learn.
Might I also point out that a lot more MINI owners are now purchasing their first MINI as a used vehicle and may not be purchasing from a MINI dealership? Possible that this may influence the waving situation.

Ok so I have been trying this on for size... Haha and since I have no Mini yet, I haven't gotten a very good response! The last people in the little red Mini I waved at looked at me like I had two heads!
Apparently Mini waves from the fire engine aren't a common thing

I WAVE, FLASH, and HONK!!
Whenever I see another MINI I tell Molly..."there's a Little MINI Molly!!"
IF it was SunRoof Season I'd be waving like a Mad Women out that too!!

I don't understand how someone driving a mini cannot feel the joy and want to pass it on. The car is so freakin' fun to drive! I am on the lookout for other Mini's all the time just so I can wave and let them know that I understand how happy they are zipping around in such an awesome ride. And then.....they just drive past with not so much as a glance..... So sad to think they feel like they are driving just a car. I feel sorry for the Mini's who are not appreciated. :-(.
I got honked at today by a fellow awesome MINI passing me. I definitely appreciated it and hope they saw my return wave! Was the first motorer who initiated the wave/whatever first. I think I'm going to honk more often especially when I'm going the same direction!
I've had a Countryman drive up next to me, honk several times and wave before. It was pretty cool. As soon as I waved back he sped off, grinning from ear to ear. It also made me smile.
I often try to get other MINI owners' attention, but it's hard to get them to wave back. Here they're what we like to call a 'hipster' car, as our dealership got put up right in the heart of it. They don't seem to understand. A few owners wave, but that number is far slimmer than the ones who just glare or outright ignore you.
So, I have to say it because it's painfully... well, painful:
"I had a MINI before it was cool to have a MINI."
At least I wave though :*(

Not gonna stop us from doing it, though!
I'll just keep waving.
