Wave??? In Savannah, a place of arts and such... MINIs... No. The wave is dead. Trust me... Dead.

 

 

Save the wave!

 

A few of the MINI's I have past in the Daytona Beach area have waved at me. I wave, and I will always wave to a passing MINI, it's tradition.

 

Had a great waving moment the other day. I was driving my spice orange justa on the highway and low and behold in the left lane was my twin! I don't see too many spice orange ones (this was my fourth time in a year of ownership) so I was pretty excited. Traffic started to slow in their lane, so I sped up in my lane, and I was hoping they would catch up. So when they did, to my utter joy and happiness when I looked over, they noticed their twin and everyone in my twin mini was waving and smiling and giving me the thumbs up!

We just kept smiling at each other

Great mini moment!!

 

What color is your MINI? I am in the Palm Coast area so maybe we have waved to each other.

I'm old-school, so I mainly flash my brights while raising four right fingers from the steering wheel. I seldom get a response from a bone-stock MINI (Justa, S, or JCWhitney).

I follow the same procedure whenever I pass any car I find unique and noteworthy.

I waved at a guy I was passing the other day because he was looking. I THINK he waved but I was going too fast to see for sure

 

Almost 0 waves after nearly 2 years in FL.

I move to South Dakota for a short while, and less than 2 weeks in, 2 waves on lonely highways!

 

When else do they meet? Events this summer? I will be in the Daytona area this summer tho will not have my Mini.

I pass a red hardtop justa weekly, whether on my way to work or out and about... And I know he sees me, but every time I pass him, eyes looking straight ahead, both hands on the steering wheel. I'll just keep waving.

I use to drive a Jeep all the time till getting my MINI and I wave at people in MINIs and some wave back and some don't never keep count. I sometimes wave a Jeeps and they look at me like I am nuts.

Like in the Jeep just wave at the vehicle and not the person if they wave back all the better.

Ahh, Savannah. The city mothers and fathers would be rolling in their graves at such a loss of southern hospitality.

In Chattanooga, vestiges of politeness still linger (with a few exceptions), at least on the roads I drive.
