Waved to a Red/Blacktop Clubman - Got a wave back. Princeton, NJ

 

I wave at every one i see, and I'd have to say I average about 1 in 10 returned waves. It's pretty depressing here in Vermont/New Hampshire.

 

The last week, I had 100% return waves! Usually it's about 50%.

DFW MINI club is doing something about it.

 

I picked up my new MINI last week.... Since then seen a ton of them PARKED in the DC metro area... but none on the road yet to wave to. :(

 

I always look to see if they're looking. If I see they are, I wave. Sometimes it's just hard to see in the car with the reflections. If you see me, wave, I promise to wave back!

 

I Just got a Roadster in December and I didn't know the MINI wave existed but I did notice that other MINI owners would wave and flash their lights at me and I would return the gesture, now I'm all ABOUT waving at MINI owners! The more popular the Brand, the more waving I'm gonna do! LETS KEEP IT GOING PLEASE!

 

Got a huge wave from a fellow Clubbie on the turn pike yesterday.

 

Sadly, more and more people are buying MINIs that just don't care about the MINI culture and community and end up just giving me weird stares when I wave at them. Ever since the MINI dealership came to Reno, the more MINIs there are and the less waves I get.

It always makes my day though when I get a wave back!!! Keep the tradition alive!

Agree with you Melangell. I finally got a wave after 3 months, but that's only because we were both waiting at a traffic light.

 

Fun looking minis wave agreed plain minis are commuters and not interested ,
Either way if I wave and they don't wave back oh well ....... I'm having fun in my mini....I do find that kids in random cars wave more than anyone else.

 

I swear I never see other Minis while I'm in my MCS, but I drove 1/2 mile in my Santa Fe yesterday and passed a two Minis.

 

I wave at every MINI is see. Today was the first day EVER that another MINI was first - an awesome little Dark Silver R53 with some tight black wheels and matte black A-Panel gave me the horn as he was on a traffic circle and I was waiting to enter.

Got a thumbs up, too.

Wish I knew if he was local or just passing through - I don't see too many modded MINIS around here...
