The wave is so ingrained in me, I find myself waving at other MINI's even when I'm driving a rental car on trips. I guess I need a sign that says, "This is a droll rental, my REAL car is a MINI!"

 

I do all the time, ok I am sure I have missed one or two.

However, I see more and more that do not.

There are three that I see every morning that do not wave, I keep trying.

I feel that alot of people bought a higher mileage car and not a MINI. My daughter says that they should give their MINI's to her as she would be HAPPY to drive and wave to other drivers...

By time I see another mini and go to wave they are in my rearview mirror. But I still try.

 

In Iowa, I have yet to see a MINI that wasn't willing to wave back...in CO however...only got 1 of the 15 or so that I saw over 4 days to wave back. It made me super sad!

 

I love to wave only because i dont see them here in Western MA so often. But when I do its puts a smile on my Face and i have to wave! So keep waving Everyone

 

I wave still at other MINIs. Sometimes it gets a little embarrassing - like when I am driving the Toyota van.
For the op. I had a 62 BT7 (tricarb).

 

I catch myself waving to other Mini drivers in my fiance's BMW Coupe all of the time. I get some pretty weird looks from folks when I'm not in the Mini.

 

The ROW is pretty low these days where I live, but today I spotted a nice pure silver R53 waiting at a light. I flashed the peace sign and got one in return. Just in case you're on this board, I was the dark silver R56 in Montclair...nice ride you got!

 

I have been waving at people non stop. It first started with my 1973 BMW 2002tii (Gulf Yellow) then continued through to my 2002 Mini then to the 04 WRX it never ends. My Dad started it with me when he owned the original Mini. And when I take delivery on my new Mini (a Blue S) you better believe I will continue that wave!

 

I just got my first MINI on Friday and passed another one for the first time on the road Sunday - I remembered this thread so I waved and he waved back. Totally made my day! I'm definitely going to be a waver..

 

I've had mine for 5 months and wave all the time, but have yet to get a wave back.

When the top is down I wave high.
I toot my horn,
I yell MINI!
Some wave back, some don't.
I don't care, I do it anyway.
I'm just glad to be alive and still able to drive.

I wave when I'm on my CanAM Spyder too.

hello, fellow maryland Mini Waver!! I, too live in Central Northern Md. (Carroll County)! I may have waved at you at some point. I don't see many Mini's on my commute to work, but if you see a 2010 Horizon Blue Clubbie with black roof, bonnet stripes, and checkered side mirrors, it's ME! Happy motoring! What do you drive?!

 

I've been waving for 5 years--most wave back here in Phoenix, and just a few don't.

 

I have a melo yelo 2008 cabrio, black top. I'm in Jarrettsville, a bit east of you.

Ever drive into the Frederick area? I work near the Frederick airport and on occasion have seen a yellow sweetie streak by!

 

We live in a small town close to Charlotte, NC. Out here, not a lot of minis, and I get waves/flashes. In Charlotte, there's a pretty high mini density, and seemingly fewer wavers...

 

I asked my husband this very question on the way home with our MINI... "Do people do the wave?" I haven't gotten to test this out yet... But I'll be a waver... SO friends if you see me coming WAVE and I'll be waving right back! Reminds me of Dori... "Just keep waving just keep waving...." (nemo for all you nonparents) lol

aha! I just got a return wave yesterday, I'm starting to wear them down

 

Hi I try to wave here in NYC, maybe it's my 20% tint that nobody sees me..
So instead I flash other MINI drivers.. with my lights and a toot of the horn.. While on the highway I'll pull along side another, match speed toot and off I go...
If you've been tooted and flashed by a Bk\CR JCW in the NY area it was I....

Any one on here have an all white JCW in NY that was on the Belt Parkway Sat Night? nice JCW.. like virginal..if you didn't have the body kit Could be the ultimate sleeper....

 

Got a MINI Wave this morning from a Horizon Blue S, waved back with a Big on my Face!! Let them change lanes in front of the Molly Car with a Headlight Flash!! Then as I passed gave a Quick Toot and another WAVE!!

 

I find myself waving at minis and i dont even have a mini yet.. you should see their faces when im waving its hilarious they are so confused
