On the way home yesterday, four MINIs, 3.5 waves. I'll give the half a pass as they were just pulling out onto the highway and probably shifting. I got a couple of fingers off the wheel wave.

Got my first wave back yesterday. Definitely made my day. :D

Don't get a lot, in the DC area - To be fair, I'm often not looking myself, too busy avoiding all the bad drivers.

 

Last week I got 4 snubs and they looked at me too....and 1 WAVE!!!! Salt Lake City is pretty snobbish behind the wheel anyways....I've been all over this country and a good part of Europe and the friendly ones are on MOTORCYCLES!!!!

 

I definitely agree with the motorcycles part! Those are a great group of people (I'm a bit biased since I used to be one ).

 

If you wave to me, you likely will get my xenons back at you in a wink. Nitetime you get nothing. I find that the mini's are rare enough around here, most wave, or flash.

The best was when I ran into a mini motoring brigade launched by the Philly Mainline Mini motoring group. I was unaware they were doing it, and we saw them, and joined in for a couple miles to show our MINI pride, this was in NEPA during our best fall foliage ever (great timing guys). Some 50+ minis in a parade of headlights is an awesome site to behold!

I love waving at fellow mini owners! But I too have noticed the decline in returning waves. Back from 03-07 or so I almost got 100% waves. Now it's dropping quite a bit, but I won't lose the spirit!

 

HAD MY 2010 Clubman a little over a week, and while I don't see many Mini's here, I have gotten quite a few waves. My first wave was awesome, as the gentleman driving the other Mini initiated it!! From then on I have waved, and gotten many return waves, even smiles....uplifting!!

 

Driving to work this morning, I passed or drove in the same direction as 5 MINIs. One was a Clubman. I got 3 return waves. That's a great percentage.

 

Don't care what anybody else does I will continue my good will toward all Mini owners and wave!! Makes me feel good!!! Mini RULES...KEEP ON WAVING MINI OWNERS!! Show your pride!!!!!

 

I waved at a pepper mini from my VW that I'm trading in as soon as she arrives...I think the mini driver did not see me, or was wondering why I was waving...smirks.

 

I should make a sign that says WAVE DAMMIT lol Ive gotten ZERO waves in my last 20 attempts.

 

I wave every time I see a MINI. I get a wave back once every 5 waves.

 

Well, I'm not doing much better down here in Central VA, I passed 5 MINIs in the last week and no one returned the wave!

 

We must never quit waving at our bretheren Mini owners! The Mini God expects that you know!

 

I pass and see more than 5 MINIS every day....they are just to common now up here.

Got a wave today from a 2011 Grey MINI Copper S!!!

 

I was right next to another MINI today at a red light. The other was also a Chili Red, so I thought my chances of getting a wave were pretty good. Wrong. I smiled, and she kept chatting on her dumb cell phone. Typical south florida.

 

MINIs are pretty common around here NorCal... but I'll try to get a wave and they dont even look... It's easier to get waves getting on and off the MINI in a parking lot! I'll keep on trying!!

 

Time between returned waves have been getting longer and longer for me. But I did get one the other day when the wife and I were driving through a neighborhood looking at houses. I turned into a cul-de-sac and saw a 2011 R56 parked in a driveway. The owner was working in the front yard and when I drove by I waved and he waved back. Granted he wasn't actually in his MINI when he waved...I'm taking it anyway!

 

I got a wave from a grey MINI with yellow fogs after dropping my kid off at school in Horsham, PA

Then later that same day I got a wave from a MINI at a cracker barrel in Moorestown, NJ.

Keep the wave alive! get rid of the cram it in your boot.

 

... I'm wavin now! LOL
