Do Mini people still wave at each other??
just the other day i was driving to pick up a friend and two kids are playing ball on the street. they were young i would say 10? but they stopped and looked and keept watching until i drove past them again to leave. smiling waving, of course i smiled back and we shared a good experience together. the "cool car" phrase was passed around between them.
Minis are the coolest cars on the road

I stopped waving at other owners since my last post in this thread. It seems the MINI is just another car to the other owners i see while driving. I do get a lot of smiles from non-MINI owners and kids.
In the month I have owned my 04 mcs I have gotten a few waves but the ratio of minis to waves is way low.
The waves/smiles I got were mostly female. Which is nice cause I am normally no pimp.
I ALWAYS WAVE! ALWAYS!

I was taking my sister for a ride in SJ over the weekend after a particularly crappy week and we got to an intersection on one of my selected twisty routes and there was another MC so I dwadled at the stop sign and threw the wave. I got one in return AND since he followed me into town, when he passed me as I was turning left, he gave me the peace sign for farewell, now that was really uplifting!

I have a cooper, for the first time I got waved by a cooper S . The girl inside it asked me why I didn't buy "cooper s" haha..
I did not know about this till I saw another wave from a clubman. I started to wave to people. It feels good, when you see it
Nowadays even people sit next to me waves to others
waves from other cars are M3, C63..

A driver in another BRG R50 waved at me Saturday night, as I was driving through Hamden. I missed it because I was checking out his white bonnet stripes and driving lights. My girlfriend gave me hell about ignoring the wave, too. That was the first time I was waved at, and I screwed it up.

It WILL happen and it will be AWESOMEI didn't even know about the whole waving thing since im relatively new to the mini world. However I've had 3 people wave at me while I'm driving (they were all in minis) since I've owned the car (4 months) and I always wave back. However something that I've noticed is that it's near impossible to get a mini to race. I'm a naturally speed oriented guy, probably because my last car was an m5, so I always try to entice other minis.. In general, they won't budge unless they actually have visible performance mods.
but other ppl underestimate me
Against or with
When you guys wave, do you usually cruise by them and then do it or are they on the other side of the road, passing you. Whenever I pass another mini, they're too self absorbed to initiate the wave that it never happens. So I'm solely doing the wave when they're coming at me.

But that's probably less than 5% of the time.
Hahaha, fair point. I definitely don't wave as emphatically as my wife. She puts some emotion into it, where I normally either flash a peace sign or the "four fingers up while gripping the steering wheel" wave.
Wave Fatigue
We waved so many times this weekend I think I may have come down with a touch of carpal tunnel. ;-)
