Do Mini people still wave at each other??
I wave all the time....the return waves are getter more rare. I feel that with more used Mini's on the road they do not get the tutorial on waving from a new Mini dealer before the delivery. I will continue to wave.
Started waving in Aug 02 (first wave was to Donna of Donna and Mike fame) after I ordered the car. I was driving a Honda. Still waving. Sometimes I forget that I'm in the 325 or Sienna but still waving.
I waved a a few times since I got my MINI (3 weeks ago) I didn't get a wave back.. But a few times I must admit they probably didn't see me, ya know 20% tint doesn't look so dark from the inside looking out... my windows are up it's coold outside..
On another note I did open my sunroof at a red light to give some girl in an suv the standard NYC one finger salute/wave, right before the light turned green and did a um.. performance test with the sport button on.... I was gone before she was able to take her hand off the horn and the other from her dam cell phone....
I wish there was a way to spray castor oil or antifreeze into my exhaust without messing with/or damaging the sensors or cat
.....
Would an exhaust flamethrower void my warrenty?

I flew into Hopkins Int'l Airport yesterday to spend the holidays w/my family here in Cleveland. While waiting for my ride I saw a Clubman starting to pull away from the curbside pickup lane, and automatically grinned & waved.
I've tried to wave several times and get the cold stare like... "why is this person waiving at me?". I don't get it. I'm a huge mini fan and I haven't even had the car that long yet but I still love catching other minis on the road. Guess that camaraderie over a similar interest is definitely on the outs.
I like that hahaha, now if someone doesnt wave back at me I will do exactly what you do!
I'm new to the "MINI thing" but Jeep owners do the same thing and I used to be a Jeep owner, so the wave is just natural. I waved at a MINI the other day heading out of Erie to visit my parents in Palmyra, and the guy driving waved back without hesitation.
It made me quite happy.

Like mentioned above. When I had my Jeep Wrangler I got a lot of waves from other Wrangler drivers. I was expecting the same sort of thing with my new Clubman but I usually just end up staring, waiting for the other driver to acknowledge me. I'll likely give up on the idea soon.
When I'm a Passenger in Hubby's Soul I wave kinda' under the Dash and say "There goes a MINI Friend!!" CRACKS him UP!!
BUT...when I/We are in the Molly Car I WAVE like a Madwoman!!
(Hubby tries to hide then!!)

I'll return a wave if I see it. I never initiate the wave. I pass many MINIs every day and I never get a wave.
Besides I usually have one hand on the wheel and the other one on the shifter, going through the gears as fast as I can.

As a motorcyclist, I like the wave and always return it if I see it. However it's not very prevalent here in the bay area of California since there's so many Mini's now. But when I'm down visiting my folks in the central California coast area, where there's no Mini dealers and consequently far fewer Mini's around, the wave is still very popular.
