- Used high temp paint and clear coat on the exhaust tips. Did it four months ago and no bubbles.
- OEM paint for the gas cap. Three coats then a clear coat.
- Door handles were painted by mini. They only charged me $100 for paint and installation. They wanted to install the handles so they could also take some pics. The dealership I use here in Germany hasn't seen the handle covers yet.

Now I just have to finish the beltline, and wait for the 2011 base scuttles from Mini and I'm done,,,, until the next thing that pops into my little brain. The Mini is like a lego set on wheels. Always need to tweak and change. Would have never cared to do all this on a GTI.

Me and Zippy had our first adventure in the ice today. Also I got some pics with him in my I <3 MINI shirt...although the pics were taken on a phone rather than a good camera :(

Nice! I haven't had the pleasure of driving on the snow, so I'm a little jealous. Welcome!

What tires are you running? Donkey has been mastering the snow here in Germany with Blizzaks, fresh snow up to about 10" is no issue.

Thanks Nick! We had very little but are suppose to have a bad winter, so I suppose this is only the beginning..

David-I don't have any special tires on Zippy for the snow, luckily we only had a couple inches, and it just turned into ice That's pretty incredible Donkey is chugging away in 10"!!

Well last night I painted my R53 Alta Exhaust black, it came on Christmas Eve. And today I installed it with my friend.
Sounds cool

I finally finished the trailer. now all i have to do is stain the wood and powdercoat the steel. My top toolbox fits, 10x10 EZ-Up, 2 folding chairs, cooler, parts tote and there is room for more stuff. The tire rack easily fits 4 tires plus the trailer spare and i drilled and tapped the aluminum floor jack so i can run a bolt in either side to keep it on the tongue. I used machinist clamps to bolt the tire rack on so when i just want a flatbed i can take the rack off and store it in the garage and it keeps my tires off the floor. Now i'm ready for a day or weekend at the track. This was a fun project!

empty is about 14 lbs. loaded depends on how you load it. with my toolbox fool of tools, cooler loaded for a two person weekend offsetting the tires up front makes the loaded tongue weigh in about 30lbs. that will change with an empty cooler on the way home but you can always move your parts bin to the rear and cooler up front to change the weight bias.

I took Delivery of my 11 Clubman S on christmas eve, the detailer at my mini dealership should be shot, if you could even call him a "Detailer" My car was delivered wet cold and dirty i guess they just hosed it off or something but today in Jersey it got up to 50 degrees so i got out and washed it. I got a snow foam gun for Christmas and man is it awesome!

When I debage it im going to polish and wax her because there is still some packing residue and minor scratches from the "Detail"

While washing her for the first time i tried thinking of some names, Im between Alyssa, Savannah, Aspen,Ashlynn, Faolan...Ive narroed them down to those haha I also got my windows tinted on thursday.

Heres some pics of my new baby
