Don't bother with the nay sayers...they have no idea what they are talking about!!
There was no nay-saying. I was just asking if slvrsoho has ever used solid end links before.
In my personal experience, they transmit a lot of noise. I'm talking about clunking and rattling sounds... Even when installed correctly. Perhaps these are some exceptionally quiet end links, or maybe in this application they don't transfer a lot of noise.
Hey guys, I'm a first-time MC owner and I'm absolutely in love with my R60.
I installed MINI crossbars and a Yakima Load Warrior roof basket. I ordered a PIAA fog lamp kit to mount onto the basket but I'm afraid that it might affect any warranties. I just purchased my R60 about a couple months ago. Good idea? Bad? Suggestions?
Added a seat belt holder on both sides. Got tired of the ones they sell at the Mini parts places that break and found these.
I asked my MA about the MINI seat belt holder, and she said not to waist my time with them because they were terrible quality. Please let us know how these hold up. Where did you purchase them?
This is my 1st MINI and it took me almost 2 weeks to install the following parts. I was afraid to mess something up, not because I wasn't mechanically competent, but it's a new car. Black HL/TL ring, CF door handles & gas cap, front plate (1st mod done a while ago). All done in less than 20 minutes. Car was tomorrow before black belt line goes on. I will also remove the red front decal. Here are some pics, my 2 year old Alaskan Malamute was all in the mix, he was excited about the new parts.
Are the 3M tape good or am I going to look back at my car and see missing pieces?

They are durable molded plastic and should hold up well. I had the other ones on my R56 and they were terrible. Now that I have a R55, decided on going outside of the box. These are from a 2008 Chevy Cobalt and I ordered them new from the dealer ($13 for the driver and $16 for the passenger). Just needed to drill one whole. Can give order numbers if needed.

Please post those numbers! They look great!
You might even want to post a little DIY in the appropriate section. Good work!
