Those look very nice, first I have seen them on the F56. They match the body trim panels well in color. Great job on the PDF install. Really like that white silver contrast on the arches. Nice color. I imagine When MINI has the JCW Aerokit come out for the rockers and rear bumper, they might not fit. Or have to be modded.
Thank you so much for clear and concise instructions with tips! I'm surprised at the lack of documentation supplied from MINI. I know I don't have the appropriate tools to do this job (ie. torque wrench for the wheels).
On anything you buy from a Mini dealer, ask them to print out the documentation. I think BMW don't supply documentation with the parts, since they assume a dealer workshop will be fitting them and will use online documentation. And they don't pre-print docuemntation, so that you always get the up-to-date version (any documentation controllers here should approve).
However, for some parts, all the documentation annoyingly shows is which other documentation you need. If you want to replace the spurketing valve* on your engine the documentation will say something like 'refer to xxxxxxx for engine removal and xxxxx for disassembly' and then just 'unbolt the spurketing valve'.
The official Mini R56 mudflap documentation was rather good.
* whaddjamean, you didn't know it had a spurketing valve?
If you don't like the looks, certainly don't have them installed. But if you've seen the pictures on this thread you know they're not hardly noticeable. I like things that make my life easier, and when it comes to keeping crap off the sides of my new Mini so washing is easier - I'm all for it.
That was what I thought first....until I went through just a little puddle of water on the road and saw how messy the doors got right behind the front wheels. Installing mudguard will be my first mod on my Mini!
to ECS Tuning for keeping up with the aftermarket on these cars, Always had good experience with you guys when I had my GTI. BTW I just bought some H&R springs from you guys. And please keep us up to date on some coilovers coming available. I think a lot of us are going crazy..
Dismounted the rears, but just turned the steering to do the fronts.
Can confirm that the MINI install instructions say the same as what Papa said above. I watched them being installed when I got my first oil change done, and the mechanic did the same thing. It certainly was harder than it looked.
Has anybody worked out what the two foam blocks are for with the rear set. I fitted my front ones last weekend, only took 20 mins. My rear ones arrived at dealer yesterday and going to fit them this weekend.

According to the instructions, they are to be inserted in the gap between the rear apron and the rear wheel arch finisher.
Here's a link to the MINI inatallation instructions. You'll find the reference for the foam for the rear installation on page 6.
Please post pictures of them installed. Even though they are small, I concur with what has been posted before, they do wonders for blocking crap from hitting the side of the car from the front wheels! (And I think they look great too)
ECS:
I just got mine from you guys.
You should correct the fitment drop down boxes, it says won't fit 2017, nor 2016 F56. But says will fit 2014.
I did check realoem, for the numbers. Same as 2014. Thus ordered, and fits.
BTW, those clips were so hard to put in, I was cursing in German. Haven't done that in a while.
I don't remember fighting those on my 2013 MCS
