I'd really like to see some pictures of the Mini rear sunshades installed in various F56's. Any one have any pictures you can post? Like to see as many different car colors with the different shades as possible.
So I checked the Configurator and see no pics yet. Are these rear and side shades made of the same type of material as the usual windshield shade? Or are they the "see-through" type you sometimes see in rear windows. In other words, are they meant to be used only when parked?
I was at the BMW/MINI parts department today ordering some goodies, and I saw these shades on display. The material is see-through, but limits a lot of the light coming in. I'm sure in the fine print somewhere it says to "NEVER use while vehicle is in motion", but it seems you could drive with them in place and still have some visibility.
We have them here for the F56 , they are much like the r56 previous generation rear window and trunk shades except they have the new print on the outside. They come in Vivid Green, Speedwell Blue, and JCW Pro ( checkered ). They have a rear trunk window screen ( one part number ) and then a matching pair of side window screen ( also one part number for two). Hold in place with little tabs, close to the gen 2 MINI versions in the plain mesh material. You can see out but it shaded when you look in. Much like the sunshade for the sunroof .
Thanks ECS! Can you tell me if the seat covers have pass throughs for LATCH to pass through, or are they solid? Gotta fit a kid seat and carry my dog, just checking if it's precut.
Yea, looks at the little holes in the covers in the pics above. Right where the seats belts would be. Now you can really make that interior stand out. MINI states you can use them as a back seat set up. Hooks the cover from headrest to headrest and line up the holes to the seat belts. Or use it in the rear trunk and hang one set over the rear headrest , like in the second diagram.
For fitting a kids seat, you might have to cut more holes, as there are only two points in the middle.
I love the look of the backseat covers but I also have need to use the latch with our carseat.
ECSTuning - In your opinion do you think the material would be easy to cut through to make the necessary holes for that? Also how much do they run? I tried looking on the website but probably missed them.
Not a problem its under the link for the above, but here also. Its a thick fabric material, hint of polyester that I have seen. I don't see why a pair of good scissors and ability could not mimic those holes for the anchor locations. Set in place, mock up , mark, then cut.
Trunk or back seat liner covers to match.
" Multifunction Cover " Come in Vivid green , Speedwell Blue , and JCW pro.
