I got word from my MA today that we can come in and order a 2015.

The minusa.com website still has all of the old package information from the 2014 model years so I'm not sure if his system is any different. Last time I was in there he just went to the normal customer facing webpage...

We signed the paperwork on Saturday for a Jun allocation. We talked abut the 2015 but our dealer had no cost information or way to even order one. I even showed them a print out of the 2015 pricing info from MotoringFile and they seemed disinterested. Unless it came from BMW there was nothing they could do. Maybe your dealer is different. I'd certainly be interested if the early pricing was accurate.

I really want the new premium package as we were planning to get the storage pack and comfort access as well. Both of those "free" upgrades offset the $500 price increase (well according to Motoring File).

I'll just go down there and see what they have to say on Wednesday. I've been finding myself hanging out at the dealership quite a bit lately. I even brought my dog in there a few weeks ago

 

We we're going to get the Comfort Access and Storage Pack anyway, so that was a wash.... but the requirement to add the rear view camera and PDC and Alarm system was too much of a price increase. Otherwise we would have waited for the 2015. I was hoping the drivers aids would be implemented on the 2015's but it does not look like it.. at least at the start of 2015. We'll enjoy the 2014 and the slightly lower price.

 

The 2015 is more expensive than the 2014 for the same spec'd car - but only minimally so if you aren't planning to get Connected or the Premium Package. I would try to get a 2014 if you can, but that would have to be a June production slot. Like Rocket_man said, if you want Connected it will be $1000 more than the 2014. If you want the premium package, since it has comfort access you will also be required to add the $500 alarm. Also add the $55 increase for shipping. Then if you want Blazing Red or Moonwalk Grey, you will pay double. Finally, sport seats on the Cooper are $50 more. I was debating on a F56 even though I'm not too fond of it, but these changes killed it for me as my dealer no longer has 2014 slots. I'd be looking at $1855 more for the same spec'd car!

 

I placed my order on 5/31 and last week my dealer told me it would be MY 2015. My order is on the mini website and now waiting for production. Excited indeed..

 

Ours was put in the system on 5 or 6 Jun and after that they only had 4 more Jun production slots for Justas. There was another list for MCS. When I registered in the Owners Lounge it shows a 2014 but it has not yet entered production. I doubt it will turn into a 2015 but I would not complain! I'm sure they'd honor the 2014 price.

Interesting... but you didn't order a 2015 right? You ordered what you thought would be a 2014, it just turned into a 2015 at the factory. Otherwise what price did you pay? So I'd guess this won't enter production until Jul. Ours is Jun allocation and would have to be built before yours.

 

Mmm, possibly, but I wouldn't count on it. When there was the whole debacle of when MY2015 would actually start, my MA said if you submit the order and it ends up being a 2015, they would contact you to let you know and provide a revised price list. Seemed really crappy to me, but anyway one of the many reasons I'm passing on it. Anyway, hope you get lucky!

 

My big curiosity would be if the Driving Assist Package is now available, for 2015 MY builds.

 

I'm in Québec, Canada and had ordered a MY2014 in the third week of May. No Driver Assist Package as it was not available on 2014 models.

A week later, he told me I could switch to a MY2015 for the same price, plus the cost of the Driver Assist Package, which was now available for the 2015 model. Instead of a July delivery, it would be an August delivery. I went with the MY2015.

 

My dealer just sent me the US 2015 price listing. Anyone need it?

 

I find that very interesting ... As vehicles produced in June 2014 are MY2014. Vehicles produced after the changeover on 7/1, are MY2015 vehicles.

Interesting... out of curiosity, how much is the driver assist package? and what do we get?

 

Yes. I thought it would be a 2014. It took a few days to put the order together, then I was called and to be told that it would be a 2015. The difference in price was $500. My dealer said that they would put it in a rush order. I don't know if this makes a difference as far as when it will be built.

 

Not sure about description of driver assist Is it like active cruise control? Thanks

 

To be considered a 2015 model, it will have to be built AFTER the July changeover, otherwise it will be a 2014. Dealers are not always the most reliable resource for knowing these things I have found.

If your chassis number is preceded by an "E", it's a 2014. If it's an "F", it's a 2015.

 

Ours went into production today. So I'm sure it will be a 2014.

My understanding is that the drivers assist won't be available in the US at the start of MY15 but may be available later in the year. But check your own sources, I have no inside info, just what I've read.

I ordered mine on 5/31 and the owner lounge is showing 2014.

 

Order is in and I was on the fence about which MY to go with (MA indicated I could do either for a limited time), but ended up going for the 2015. I'll be holding the car for a while (assuming it as reliable as my 06' justa) and the extra residual should cover any additional current cost.

So now I guess the wait officially begins.

 

As soon as you have a "chassis number" assigned, can you post the first few characters. Someone else said "If your chassis number is preceded by an "E", it's a 2014. If it's an "F", it's a 2015." and I'd like to have that verified.
