Not to be argumentative, but that statement is incorrect.
While there is an option in the ECU/DME to switch region, that's certainly not the only difference...
The EU models are different chassis codes (ZC31 and ZC32) vs the US ZC33. The bumper and crash systems are different (as I have extensive knowledge of, sadly), as are many of the subsystems and modules, and the ECU is actually a bit different.
I'm not sure what you were basing your info off of, but I was simply trying to help by giving you a quick heads-up that some options, regardless of the inclusion in the modules, will not activate for EU and vice versa.
But assuming you know more about coding, I'll wish you luck and move on.

I'm realy no profi in coding Mini (or BMW).
I come from the VAG (Audi) side and have done a lot of coding with a professional software there. Audi is using the same ECU in US and EU (execpt some small differences in crash sensoric and Radio).

I've done a lot of coding with Audi, as well (and I believe TRIPLE_O has as well). The easy part about their vehicles is that they literally make one type, then just ship them overseas to other markets.
BMW, on the other hand, actually runs different lines for different markets. It ends up causing a lot of confusion, especially for US dealers. The parts get different numbers (even though some of them are the exact same), supply issues crop up, and it's a mess.
My infamous bumper modification thread is an example of the hallmark of stupidity (in my opinion), in that they actually reduced the effectiveness of the crash structure for the US market. In so doing, they also made the EU parts no longer compatible... It's the same story with 30+% of the other modules.
But the moral here is that while the Datens / TRC files are going to show the same text, the actual limitations are coming from the DME and BCM codes. Thus, some neat options that work on EU cars won't work here, and vice versa. Just makes for more of a mess as you can see.

2. Installed software (restart)
3. Copy/paste datens v41 (did not create r56 dir)
4. Copy/paste sgdat
5. copy/replaced ecu
6. ran laden
7. copy/paste revtor
8. repeated 3-6 with v48
9. created FSW_PSW.MAN (saved all files) in work folder
10. Deleted any FSW_PSW.TRC in work folder
11. Went out to car turn on ignition
12. plugged in cable
13. started INPA (I get an error msg usb/serial) click ok on msg INPA screen comes up two solid black cicles (indicating communication) close INPA
14.Start NSC
15. Load profile Revtor
16.F1 VIN\ZCS\FA
17. F3 ZCS/FA
18. Choose R56
19. Choose CAS
20. F6 Back
21. F4 Process ECU
22. Selected Module
23. F4 Read Module (at which point the NETTODAT open in notepad window)
24. open work folder copy/paste FSW_PSW.TRC and NETTODAT.TRC file to named module folder
25. return to work folder open FSW_PSW.TRC file make code changes and save as FSW_PSW.MAN (which replaces empty .MAN)
26. Close FSW_PSW.TRC file return to NCS F3 Execute job

thank you for your advice. with one addition step 3 i reinstalled the software and this time did create r56 folder in datens dir. then i did as you advised and closed ncs then 14-22 executed job AND EUREKA MY FIRST SUCCESSFUL CODING!!!!
I choose "window close when you hold the lock button" for my first. I think though I'll let the dust settle from my robust celebration before I try more!

Dynamic Brake Lights which I think are referred to as Brake Force Display (BFD) in BMW world, is coding that allows the rear fogs to illuminate when you brake. I've tried coding this line on a mini (with rear fogs), but it didn't work. However, I didn't check the VO to see if $5AH was in there. Try adding that option to your VO and then reset the IHKA and FRM modules.
Also, regarding DRL's, look in the FRM module and see if you can change one of the DRL options from nicht_aktiv to aktiv.

This language is strange to me, seems like I may change some nicht_aktiv to aktiv.
Do someone has a car with Dynamic brake lights activated ( flash when emergency stop), if yes, could you please share me your FRM file.

when I code my car, I found some time the change was not saved. so I close NCS after reading ECU, then edit .man, then open NCS again to write.
Won't work. I spent a lot of time on this. The COM box is different between 6nd and 6ne. It's physical hardware that you are lacking to get bluetooth audio, not just coding.
