I believe I tried it on an R56 automatic and it didn't work. I'll try to test on some manual vehicles when I get the opportunity and see if we can accomplish this.

It's of course possible that it's a hardware limitation in the USA models, but I'll do some checking in the code side and the wiring diagram if that goes nowhere. I'll let you know what I find.

Honest answer: recovering from surgery and in too much pain to lay down. Waiting for Oxycontin to kick back in.
That, and I'm also a night person. Brain doesn't really get rolling until later in the day into the evening.
sorry to hear that ... hope you get well soon
i am reading maintenance manuals and wiring schematics for a 1979 cessna 501sp small business jet that a customer just bought ... trying to get up to speed ... no distractions this time of day (night)
Getting the shift up and down light would be awesome! I dont know why they dont do this for the US models!
Its pretty cool, I just enabled it, but the shifting pattern it suggests is REALLY annoying, it has you short shifting every gear. like shifting at 1500 to 2500 rpm every gear.
My wife told me to stop driving it with the suggestion or else she'll throw up

After extensive testing, I can present you with the absolute latest Datens that will literally code everything currently available or being built this month:
WOW, thanks to Triple_O and Theta. Newest Dates.
I got a **** cable, clear shell and white board, with 7/8 pin shorted, only broke OBD fuse!
Trying to find other cables. LOL.
Found the one on eBay but not ship to China , ouch!

Try this one. I can report a 100% success rate, great quality cable.
Member cm.d found another cable on eBay out of hundreds and I have since contacted the vendor to try to get one expedited to me for testing. They want too much for expedited shipping (compared to many other eBay vendors I've dealt with in foreign countries).

Odds are that they will. I've had success with late model 2012's and 2013's and coded an R58 last week.
