I believe I tried it on an R56 automatic and it didn't work. I'll try to test on some manual vehicles when I get the opportunity and see if we can accomplish this.

It's of course possible that it's a hardware limitation in the USA models, but I'll do some checking in the code side and the wiring diagram if that goes nowhere. I'll let you know what I find.

On the BMW side, it's under the Efficient Dynamics coding.

This is not for the MINI, merely an example:
KOMBI
SP_ANZEIGE -> aktiv
SCHALT_PKT_BC -> aktiv

Honest answer: recovering from surgery and in too much pain to lay down. Waiting for Oxycontin to kick back in.

That, and I'm also a night person. Brain doesn't really get rolling until later in the day into the evening.

To be honest, there's more interest in getting the shift light turned OFF in the UK then turned ON here.

Its pretty cool, I just enabled it, but the shifting pattern it suggests is REALLY annoying, it has you short shifting every gear. like shifting at 1500 to 2500 rpm every gear.

My wife told me to stop driving it with the suggestion or else she'll throw up

Exactly, it has you short-shifting in really crazy ways. 2->5, etc.

Hmmm, maybe it does that to not stress the engine? What was the code you changed? I have a 2012 countryman S - Manual Trans

I'm guessing he used the codes that Theta had posted earlier (many codes transfer over to from BMW to Mini).

After extensive testing, I can present you with the absolute latest Datens that will literally code everything currently available or being built this month:

Here are the v48.2 Datens! - DOWNLOAD

Special thanks to Triple_O for helping test these!

I got a **** cable, clear shell and white board, with 7/8 pin shorted, only broke OBD fuse!
Trying to find other cables. LOL.

Going to see if these work with a R58 just flashed with an ECU update from the dealer.

Great news. Do you think this will fix the issue we had with the foglight bulb error coding?

Hope you are feeling better and getting around more

Try this one. I can report a 100% success rate, great quality cable.

Member cm.d found another cable on eBay out of hundreds and I have since contacted the vendor to try to get one expedited to me for testing. They want too much for expedited shipping (compared to many other eBay vendors I've dealt with in foreign countries).

Odds are that they will. I've had success with late model 2012's and 2013's and coded an R58 last week.

If theres anyone in or around Pittsburgh that does coding, I would love to have my 2012 ALL4s doors unlock when the key is removed.
