Electrical Countryman-Specific Coding - R60 Guide
I only backed up my CAS module for coding somethings in CAS, but i accidentally pushed "Code Car" F3 KEY, that's why many modules have been disturbed. This 2 modules show error, then i defaulted it...
I have tried to let my dealer fix it, but they said everything normal. (p.s. mine is Europe ver.)
koopah, theta many thanks for your info. Could you guys share the FSW_PSW.TRC files of ABG and KOMBI module to me?

I would discourage anyone from sharing these (as with all .MAN, .TRC, etc), let alone having you use any from the USA.
You can cause serious damage to your car by attempting to swap in a donor. Trying to explain why the car got towed back to the dealer would be a hard one, and ISIS can figure out the issue very quickly by looking at programming dates.
Have your dealer run a full re-flash from ISIS (you must request the full re-flash). It should cost about an hour's labor charge. There is no chance of having errors survive that process.

I want to make a special note that you are messing around with the ABG module and asking for other TRC files.
You could seriously be killed by a malfunction in the ABG unit. Do not play with this unless you can code forward and backwards. I feel like I should remove the ABG module settings just because of this.
If you enter the incorrect data into the ABG module, your airbag could either not go off at all (for the driver or passenger), or blow without warning (which causes serious injury or death).

Actually, i just wanna compare the differences between my. Trc file and The original file( 2-3 values, I found the px seat belt contacter code, but i got air bag fault light illuminated after setting enable. It should control by more than 2 values). Luckly, My FA code hasn't change.
Theta, you are right! For safety issue, I won't code other *.TRC to mine(never know what will be happened.
Can i re-flash my car to original setting if i got ISIS with icom set?
is that difficult to use ISIS and ISID?
Koopah, it's fine, thank for your info anyway.

Using an ICOM with ISIS/ISID is difficult, and if you get into trouble, you won't have a dealer login to do a full base update.
Plus you have to figure in the cost, plus cost of updates, etc. If you want the actual access as opposed to the pirated stuff, add another $2500 per year on top of the equipment cost.
Not a great option unless you're doing much more than coding.

After spending a number of hours playing with FRM module settings, I finally got the DRLs to light only the city lights! This process was aided by a post by strobey-probey in a thread about city lights as DRLs on Canadian R60s. Please note the specifics below:
Enviromental:
MINI: USA 2012 CMS (Canadian R60s will need to have their VO changed to reflect a USA version - thanks strobey-probey!)
Build Date: Nov 7, 2011
Headlamps: Xenon
Datens: V46. Those with newer datens should be ok as the settings listed below should be present in your FRM module's FSW_PSW.TRC file. I'm not sure whether these settings will be the same in pre-V46 datens, but most likely so.
Misc: Must have working cable and (preferably) NCSExpert programming experience. These instructions assume that you know how to successfully code your R60 with NCSExpert.
Requirements/suggestions before beginning:
1. The DRL option should be activated in the BC;
2. The headlamp setting should be set to "off" for programming, but then you can set it to "Auto" afterwards;
3. Fully read this post before beginning;
4. Plan and document your work (OCD Club Members Unite!).
5. Post if this works for you!
FRM Settings:
VERHALTEN_DRL_TFL_3R drl_s // This setting turns-off the low beam headlamps.
Note: after this setting was made, wheel arch lights, rear taillights and license plate light were still on.
DRL_TFL_MIT_KZL nicht_aktiv // This setting turns-off the license plate lights.
Note: after this setting was made, license plate lights were turned-off but taillights were still on. In fact, the lower taillight in each lens glowed brightly at brake light intensity, the upper taillights were at normal intensity, however. Odd.
DRL_TFL_MIT_SL_1 nicht_aktiv // These settings turned-off the left and right wheel arch lights and
DRL_TFL_MIT_SL_2 nicht_aktiv // lower taillights.
Note: After this setting was made, the upper taillights were still on. According to NCSDummy, the "SL" means "standing lights", so the bright lower taillights may be in standing light mode.
DRL_TFL_MIT_BL nicht_aktiv // This setting turned-off the the upper taillights.
And, finally
DRL_TFL_SML_3R aktiv // This setting turned-on the city lights!
Other stuff:
- I made these changes one-by-one. After each change, I exited NCSExpert and turned-off the R60. Then I turned the R60 back on and checked the status of the lights to make sure that the desired effect had been achieved. I suspect that all these edits could be made and programmed in one step, but I thought that I'd just let you know the way in which I did them.
- I never had to touch the companion settings in the CAS module.
- Today I tested the function of the lights in "Auto" mode as they switched between DRL illumination and night illumination. Perfect!
Have fun...

Also, on a side note, Koopah, did you ever find out what tsl_s did?
Thanks! Happy Motoring!
I corrected the original post. Thanks!Cheers!

I have coded before but today I went in to code out the bulb checks since I went to leds and for some reason the codes are not taking. When I save the TRC file to the MAN file, and copy to the WORK folder am I supposed to change it to "all files" versus the default of "text document". It is strange as some of the e codes took and some did not.
Thanks
Thanks
Confirmed working on a 2013 R60. I coded it and it's great having the extra path lighting.
Having trouble getting my r60 coded. My end goal us to get the city lights as DRL, I'm Canadian eh. The error I keep getting on the laptop is "chassis faulty"? Weird. I have a feeling my d can cable is junk. E bay was like 25$. Should the connection at the car end of the cable be lit up (red) when in use? Mine will turn red at first when u plug it in, then it goes out. Any help is useful, thanks!
well the cable checked out just fine, pins weren't soldered from factory, so I think maybe the problem now is the way I copy/pasted the three sub folders from the extracted files in the datens folder. Same with the revtor.pfl file,I couldn't see my profile either when I open the ncs expert, only expertenmodus. When I right click the files it will let me copy, but where do I navigate to paste? Sorry new to forums and coding!! Thanks
Hi guys!
I really need some help, getting very nervous here. I did something wrong while trying to add the sport button to my 2011 MINI Countryman Cooper S ALL4.
I followed the NCS tutorial from NAM, and the sport button tutorial as well from this website.
Coded the option in the VO file (CAS and FRM), and after that followed the procedure to write everything to my car. During the writing process I got an error, which you can see below:
https://drive.google.com/a/keesverme...3dmVmpzYmV2U3M
As a result I now have a car with many errors! My rev counter is not working, tyre pressure alarm is on all the time, it shows to 'heads' in the display which also shows my kilometers driven, on the BC screen is shows what looks like a MINI coupe with arrows at the back (up and down) near the spoiler, on startup it shows the service due sign in the BC, it showed a MINI convertible with a ! next to it, etc.
What did I do wrong, and more importantly, how can I get this fixed!
THanks in advance.
Regards,
Kees
