Unfortunately, you're not going to get correct power or torque numbers from a phone app. Which is not to say they're useless (they're great for comparison against previous numbers), but there's a reason a good dyno is expensive.

You know you could try altering the gain setting to fine tune how much your spraying.

Yes I have a CAN tool, but no codes aside from the catless DP.

Playing with the gain trimmer can help some, but it certainly won't be as drastic as changing jets, as that would have a greater effect on the volume being injected.

But I know going full CCW will slope the injection curve down about 20-25%.
I can give that a shot since it's easier then changing a jet lol.

If it has some effect, then the next logical thing is to go down a jet.

If you'd like I can fill up with 91 only tonight since I need to fill up anyway and I'll do some data logging after driving for 50 or more miles and I'll post my findings on here.

That would be awesome! I'd really appreciate it.

The car should adjust fuel trims after that time period with no E85, and only take into account the methanol.

I'm really curious to see if you'll experience what I did/am.

Thanks to my kind employer, I got half the day off so once I'm home and done eating lunch I'll do some data logs.

Sorry for the delay but I got done data logging and it still advances timing but not as much. It's advancing about 4 degrees.

What AFR are you seeing running only meth? Thanks for gathering data!

Thanks for that. Mine is doing that as well.

But last time, after about three quarters of the tank it stopped advancing and just stayed at 0?

Hopefully it stays this way.

What are your intake temps and AFR's?

Ambient was 14 degrees Celsius and intake was 7 degrees Celsius at the end of the run. AFR was around 14.6 throughout the whole run but dropped down to 13.2 just before redline.

Really? That's actually a lot leaner than usual with methanol....even without the methanol that's still pretty lean? You should be like mid 12's at the top of a gear, without ethanol or methanol.

Do you know your settings on the Aquamist controller? Thres and gain? Or did you never mess with that?

My thresh is set at 11 and my gain at 2.
Let me go for a drive and I'll do a few data logs instead of just one and I'll report back.

Sounds good.

Could there still possibly be E85 in the tank?
I know even a gallon left over can throw things off as it's just being diluted, but still there.

Unless you refilled with about 10miles left till empty lol.

I filled up with 2 miles left in the tank so most of the E85 should be gone.
I did 4 runs and took the average of all 4 and it turns out it goes from 14.6 afr to 13.5 then to 12.4 at redline and 11.6 past redline. Outside temps were 12 degrees celcius and the intake temps were 7 degrees celcius.

That's more like it. AFR looks good. Timing still 4 degrees? If so you're good to only run methanol and 91 consistently. Unless you want more timing and E85 isn't difficult to get.

I've also notice the car won't pick up intake temps below 7 degrees celcius..pretty funny lol.
That would be 44.6 F for the US.

Something's up with my car I guess.

Thanks for this info again.

My car is american and I live in Cali but I'm so used to the metric system so I don't bother really with the imperial system unless it's necessary.

Glad I can run only 91 but E85 is right down the street so it's no problem to get. Just need to throw Lady D on a dyno and see the difference between running only 91 and with about 30% E85.

Ah my mistake.

As soon as I get my car sorted out I want to dyno the car without any E85, just methanol. We could possibly compare.

Might potentially move to a different tune, one with a different power delivery. But this JB+ is definitely a bargain.

No worries.
We could but I don't have a baseline dyno figure so comparing numbers won't really work.
The JB+ for what it is is amazing and I love it. But I'm still planning on getting a custom tune from Renntech or PAW (if it's possible) when I move to Florida.

Those of you running a mix of e85, what mix and JB setting are you running.

I was running 30% E85 and the JB+ set at 100% but my car isn't stock.
