We don't have an ETA yet, we are still working on getting a 2011 Mini here to get a copy of the ECU. Once we get that we will work on getting the AccessPORT compatible.
So heres a question. If my car is making roughly 191 horsepower at the wheels with the stage one tune, does that translate to about 219 bhp when added the 15 or so percent loss due to the drivetrain. Sound about right?
Larry
yup, unless you talk on the European forums then you can use 20+% drive train loss =P
I was going to order one yesterday, but I have a 2011 MCS. The phone operator told me that you haven't "cracked" the 2011 ECU yet. Any ETA? I am jonesin' for the accessport and tune bad!
Cheers!

Hey guys,
Thanks for the interest! We are working really hard on some new products using the ALTA AccessPORT for the 2007-10 models, then going back to the 2011 development.
They will be released soon! But you and others that are interested in a package price, PM ME!!!! I'll help you out no problem!

It won't be until spring, I'm just anxious to see if the deals are going to be good or not.
I'll be getting an AP, IC, and CAI all around the same time. I was planning on going ALTA for the AP and IC, and DoS for the CAI, but if you offer a package including all three, and it's a good deal, I might just go that route and get everything from ALTA all at once.

OK, thanks for the info. Stay tuned to the site for updates and if you get an itch prior to then, hit me up and I'll help you personally!
I'm a happy owner here, I had a thought though, does the tuning software give access to non engine stuff like the ability to roll up the windows with the remote.?
Most likely the 2011 JCW will be different, we just need to get one here to take a look at the ECU. Once we get that we will work hard to get the ALTA AccessPORT compatible.
I hooked my access port up to a 2011 JCW and it recognized it. It wasn't my car so I didn't load the tune but it certainly seemed like it would. There were no errors.
I received my AP today. I had some problems connecting with Windows 2000 and Windows 7 but I was easily able to hook up using my old man's Mac. For some reason I was not getting maps but Alta's "Saturday evening" customer support was top notch to allow me to get up and running. I am very happy with the tune. Very noticeable and very driveable! Lots of rubber burning smells so...as you can imagine I had a little fun staying on the throttle!
So, the AP for the 07-10 S model isn't compatible for the 11 yet? I've been thinking of getting rid of my MINI, but may just mod it a little bit more and trade it in on another MINI in a few years. If it's going to be compatible with the 11 and future years, that'd be a huge plus for me since I'd be able to hold onto it when I trade in my current MINI.
So, you should be able to use the same AP on the newer models, correct? To me, being able to keep it for another MINI would justify the $895 a little bit more.
